Zamel's Jewellers - Eastgardens
Zamel's Jewellers in Eastgardens offers a range of jewelry services, but customer experiences have been notably inconsistent. While some patrons have reported helpful assistance, others have encountered rudeness and dismissive attitudes from staff, particularly a notable salesperson. This has led to a mixed reputation, with some customers feeling unwelcome or disrespected during their visits.
The store's quality of service appears to be a significant area for improvement. Despite the occasional positive interaction, the overall impression suggests a need for better customer care training to ensure a more welcoming and respectful environment for all shoppers. Potential customers should be aware of these varying experiences before visiting.

We came into the store today to get my finger measured, I asked if that’s a service they offer and the older lady with glasses was extremely rude, replying with, "No, we don’t do that. We charge $20 for it." As if I’d asked for something beyond her ability. I asked if she knew anywhere that would do it for free and she replied with, "Go and ask them." Cool. Super helpful. I’ll remember to never visit this store again. It seems like having customers is an inconvenience to the lady behind the till, despite that being her job. Some polite conversation goes a long way in customer service.
I bought a ring in Feb 2025 and one of the diamond fell in within 2 month I went were and they serviced it and asked me to pay but I told them its been only 2 months so they did in free. Again in October same diamond fell and I went again and the same lady with glasses so so rude one said its over 6 months you have to pay if you would have within 2 months we could have exchanged it omg are you serious and she said she will sent to repair and I have to pay. I told her this ring looks like faulty to me send it to assessment she tried to convince me not to but I insist it. Guess what it was faulty and i got a call to me come and get another one omg when I was choosing the ring she was so rude as if I am taking her own ring she did not give me option whate ever I chose she said cant take it. But the man was trying yo help me as he was the one who sold me but she was interrupting him not to give any discount to me. Very very unprofessional and so rude thats not how we should be treated. Today finally I got different ring I am happy but after so much of struggle. I will never ever buy from this store in Eastgarden
I had a very disappointing experience at Zamel’s recently. I was interested in their lab-grown diamond rings, but the lady salesperson treated me with a really bad attitude. Just because I asked about the difference between white gold and silver, she acted like I couldn’t afford the rings and spoke to me in a rude and dismissive way. As a customer, I expect basic respect regardless of what I ask or how much I plan to spend. Her behaviour made me feel unwelcome, and honestly, if Zamel’s wants to keep customers, they really need to make sure their staff treat people properly. Very disappointing and definitely not coming back.
The service is terrible, the ladies are extremely rude. I wanted to buy a ring for my wedding and according to the sales assistant, $3000 isn't too much, and she looks at me with contempt. I would not recommend this shop under any circumstances.
What a saddening and disappointing experience. Never in my life have I been treated like this by a salesperson. My partner and I went in excited to buy a ring for my birthday present. The Russian sales person was blatantly racist and assumed we could not afford anything. When I asked to try on the sizing rings to see what size different fingers were, the lady got angry and only let me measure the size of one finger. She then took the measuring rings away and said I was wasting her time, although the store was empty. When my partner asked her why she was being so rude, she replied, "this isn’t America darling", even though he is Brazilian, and then asked me where I was from. I told her that I was Australia, and she condescendingly said, "oh so you’re from here?" My partner asked her what her name was so we could make an official complaint and she refused to tell us and told us to leave the store if we were unhappy. We were so upset and taken aback by this treatment and we took of business to Prouds where we were treated with respect and kindness and ended up buying a gorgeous ring from there. Bottom line, do not go here, go elsewhere. This lady should be fired. Not only did they lose a big sale, but blatant racism like this is not acceptable in 2025!! So upsetting.
Always a Great Experience when I purchase from Zamel’s. Zvia is always helpful when we come in store to pick out what we’re after. Good prices plus we always work out a good deal. Keep it up Team!!
I have purchased Three rings from the store over the space of seven years they were gifts from my parents. When I initially got the rings, I was told that there was a two year care plan on them and I can get them rhodium plated for free within the tube. I went to go and get them replaced and was told that they couldn’t find my record of them being purchased from there they then told me if I wanted them plated I would need to pay for a per ring. Last year my Mum went and purchased another ring for me and asked for them to look up the sales record and for it to match the previous rings will be very similar to. They overcharged her and sold her a ring that was completely Ones She overpaid by about $1200. They then insisted that they don’t do refunds or exchanges and only gave her a credit note. The spite of this my mum insisted that we’re going again. She wanted to purchase another ring for me when we got there as usual, the sales assistance were rude and hard to deal with the final straw was we were purchasing necklaces for each of my daughters one was listed at $39. The other had a $29 price tag on it. Both In a clearance section in the window. They then tried to charge a greater price when my Mum questions it they said that someone had made a mistake on the $29 price tag and that it was actually more expensive. My Mum questions this and said " if you’ve made a mistake pricing it shouldn’t you still honour the price at which it is advertised?" which is what I assumed to be standard procedure, apparently not. But this stage I had enough, considering I should’ve known from the beginning that it was not gonna be a pleasant experience. It never has been in any of the occasions I’ve gone in over the last seven years. We then went downstairs to Angus and Coote he was greeted by the loveliest sales assistant. She was so helpful was patient in explaining things to us and we purchased a necklace for my daughter and my ring from that store instead. Please save yourself the stress, anxiety and time and don’t go to this store. I wish I read the reviews earlier and never gave these people any business to begin with.
