Philip Shaw Wines

We recently held our Wedding at Phillip Shaw and had the most wonderful time! The staff were incredible from planning to hosting, the whole experience was perfect. A big thank you to Kate and Jack for ensuring every detail was spot on and to all of the lovely staff who made our night so enjoyable. We did not have to worry about a thing, we were always being checked on and the food and wine were absolutely delicious. The staff did everything to ensure each guest was comfortable and safe throughout the night. 100% recommended the venue for Weddings! We will definitely return for casual drinks and many anniversaries.

Philip Shaw winery is a beautiful highly recommended winery on the outskirts of orange, with a historic beautiful cellar door with manicured gardens. Perfect for wandering around and taking in the stunning winery or to host your next event, Staff friendly and knowledgeable, Impressive charcuterie style foods to nibble while you enjoy your wines, Large on-site car park. On side of memories. Would you recommend?

Always a pleasure here. My 3rd visit and this time they had live music down in the barn, which seriously needed some fans on that crazy hot weekend. But otherwise was lovely and I always pick up a bottle of their Architect Chardonnay which is lovely.

Best Sunday afternoon tasting due to the delicious array of wines offered & the entertainment provided by Nic our wine guide. Great banter & terrible dad jokes & puns mixed with his knowledge of wine & some helpful cooking tips. Thanks for the lols Nic! You were a splendid host 🥂

Loved the experience, detailed explanations of wines, and ambience. However, the service might need a SERIOUS improvement… We were the first one to arrive at 11:00 session but our cheese plate came at 12:10 (40 mins after we ordered it) when we are almost done with our wines… She served it right before we were about to cancel the order and leave. How am I supposed to eat those salty snacks WITHOUT ANY BEVERAGE? They didn’t fill our water bottle either. I thought it might have been a temporary lack of stuff but I saw three near the counter so I have no idea how this happened. It was overall, upsetting experience.

Was visiting family recently in Orange and it would be rude not to visit a winery, especially when Philip Shaw was only a 1km or so from their house….no brainer really! We arrived about an hour or so before closing and the kids had been in and out of the car all day as we took our time to arrive from Sydney so a sit down tasting flight wasn’t really an option for us but it did look like an awesome set up inside by the fire. We instead grabbed a few glasses of wine and enjoyed what was left of the winter sun in the garden so the kids could blow off some steam while we enjoyed our wine. It’s an awesome space with a mini football pitch to keep the kids entertained and active. Only thing missing was an outdoor fire as it did start to get really cold as that sun dipped behind the mountains. We grabbed a couple of bottles to takeaway for dinner which were bloody good. Well worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Well we have never been to Orange before, but finally got the chance to and we fell in love with the place. So we decided and my daughter told me about this winery it was very nice and well set up and plenty of areas to sit outside for a cheese platter and wine. The staff were excellent and very friendly. I would definitely recommend going to this winery for a tasting and sit back and enjoy atmosphere. Well done to all the staff and keep up the great work you do for the traveling public.
