Dark Horse on the Brit

Used to come here often and came by again today. Ordered iced coffee with ice cream and explicitly said with no ice. Waiter triple checked saying it wont be cold if I dont use any ice and I dont mind as I dont want my coffee to be diluted. Guess what? My order still has ice in it🤣 Coffee is also on the high end of price. It is $8.9 and I’ve tasted better at other cafe with cheaper price.

Greeted if you can call it a greeting at the door by a grumpy, unhappy, miserable girl, she just looked at us, I asked for a table of 3 and she pointed to a dirty table which I cleaned with one of the 2 napkins supplied in the cutlery holder on the table. Placed our order, mushroom breakfast, chicken souvlaki and breakfast burger with coffee, I noticed everyone has to call to be served. Meals came and looked great, no salt and pepper on the tables unfortunately, the meals were great couldn’t complain about the food at all and the kitchen looked busy and clean, service let this place down and so did the staff, I wouldn’t go back just because of the service and unfriendly staff NEVER DID GET OUR COFFEE🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Lovely ambiance with enticing menu. My friend ordered the waffles to share and it was beautiful and SO on point! Sweet but not too sweet overall. Salted caramel ice cream went well with the waffles and crumbed macadamia! Oooh lovely! Waitresses were friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back for more!

A cute little brunch place in Mitcham Victoria. Was full of people which means their food was amazing. I had the big breakfast and it was really good. The prices are reasonable and the service is very good. There are a lot of dishes to choose from and a large drinks menus too. The restaurant is located in a very convenient place and plenty of parking nearby. If one wants to grab a quick brunch or lunch I would recommend this place.

The food is ok. Service can be quite slow. Expect at least half an hour for menu items, some of our party waited an hour. Seems to have recently changed management and the name appears to be changing to "Dark Stallion." Prices are higher than on the "Dark Horse" website, menu has been cut back and indoor dining was closed for renovations. I have to take off a star for not updating the website. While not technically false advertising, it's somewhat misleading while the "Dark Horse" sign is still up on the closed shopfront.

Great cafe with ample seating both indoors and out. Decent menu. Maybe a bit pricey, but food quality and portion is good. Very friendly service.

Can’t go wrong with this little gem! I’ve come here so many times and I’m never disappointed. Staff are very chill and friendly. Good food options to choose from! Today opted for the brunch burger with a homemade hash brown. Couldn’t fault the burger at all, it was delicious! The hash brown was crunchy but could have used some salt to really get it on point. I’ve had the smashed avo not too long ago and would rather Halloumi instead of the Saganaki but that’s just personal preference. The chicken tacos are insanely good as well as a lunch option!
