Borrodell Vineyard, Cellar Door & Wedding Venue

We had an amazing lunch here yesterday. After the loss of their restaurant last year they are creating the food in the spectacular Skybar. The huge glass windows overlook the cherry trees and grape vines and we were lucky enough to have an absolutely perfect day weather wise. The young staff member was on the ball with explaining the menu and we chose the 2 courses. I was thrilled to see that they had a good range of interesting vegetarian meals and entrees, as well as lovely meat dishes for my husband. I get very excited when I see interesting vegetarian food, so many places have a token salad for vegetarians, and it really is quite depressing. Both of our meals were incredibly flavoursome, the accompanying wines were enjoyable and the service was excellent. We are pretty picky when it comes to food and don't even bother to review merely acceptable food and we also don't do negative reviews. We only do positive reviews for venues who really are fantastic and Borrodell definitely qualified!

We were lucky to be given a voucher. We decided to have our son’s 43 birthday lunch there. Food was lovely, everyone enjoyed their choices but we had no information about what was being served. It was just put on the table and the server left, almost felt like it was just dumped. The main complaint was for the drinks service. Helplessly watch the server pour our $150 bottle of wine over the table … not once but twice. Missing the glass each time as she tried pouring to the centre of the table. No acknowledgment or apology to the one all over the table. She didn’t even attempt to clean the bottom of the glasses that had wine poured all over them. If this was a budget restaurant then we’d just accept poor service but a high valued establishment like this it was very second rate. Very disappointing.

We had lunch here today and the scenery and location were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the setting. The service felt quite average, and our waiter wasn’t very familiar with the menu — when we asked questions, the information given didn’t match what was actually served. The food itself was also quite ordinary. The satay skewers were like you would get from Woolworths. I didn’t continue to eat or finish the dish. Sadly, it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for, and it’s not somewhere we would choose to return to.

I don’t usually drink wine, however was seeking a relaxing location for a catch-up with a friend. Our experience visiting this vineyard was unforgettable, I even tried a couple of Moscatos. The views were absolutely spectacular, the food recommended by our waiter Sandeep absolutely divine, and the service was flawless. A truly wonderful day!" Had lunch there today.. It lacked atmosphere Our table was a plastic bunning table with black tablecloth.. Not a good look The waiter was polite but lacked personality The food was ok.. But would not return again There is nothing about the place that would make me recommend to anyone

Had an amazing stay here on a cold rainy night. The hosts are so helpful and kind. The room was just amazing with fireplace and heated flooring in the bedroom. Beautiful view with kangaroos right outside. There was an electric frypan, bbq, everything you need to make a good meal if needed. The breakfast supplies were all top quality and very nice. I will be back soon. Amazing place

Disappointing! Terrible service, expensive, unclean and unloved. The restaurant was particularly bad. We turned on the jets while in the spa bath brown stuff filled the bath and shot out across the room. We contacted them to ask them to clean it, or give us products so we could, and no-one answered the phone, or text. At $500 per night for 3 nights I think it is reasonable to expect cleanliness and responsiveness. Noisy old appliances, which are noticeable in a small space. The rooms are nicely designed and the view is lovely, but the place needs a good service and clean.
