Werribee Park Mansion

Just incredible. The perfect location for a celebration. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Mansion. If you're going to stay here, take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings and do some exploring. The Mansion Tour is definitely worth doing.

Beautiful majestic manor home of the Chirnsides, set in lovely garden and bush acreage. We enjoyed a picnic in the garden and did "Whats That"-the once weekly evening ghostly performance /tour- led by the manor's maid & butler. So enjoyable- my favorite part was sitting at the dining table, and ascending the gorgeous staircase.

This is a true gem on Melbourne’s doorstep. We are lucky to have such well preserved history & architecture on our doorstep. Equally impressive is the sheer number of attractions around it - the state rose gardens, the free-range zoo, and Shadowfax winery within the Park; and the K Road cliffs, the Werribee river & its estuary at Werribee South beach, and Wyndham harbour not far outside it.

Werribee Park Mansion is a brilliant spot to explore. Tickets are about $10–12 for adults, with cheaper options for kids and concessions, so it’s pretty affordable for a family day out. You can wander through the grand old rooms at your own pace, check out the antique furniture, and get a feel for how the Chirnside family lived back in the late 1800s when they built their pastoral empire. The mansion itself is stunning, and the gardens around it make the whole place feel peaceful and inviting.

Perfect place to go to kill some time and emirse yourself in history. Walking through the mansion and the grounds I was blown away with the beauty and the sheer size of the place. Great price for entry, with access to the rose garden, I wished I had brought a picnic and had time to stay all day. The volunteers running this park are dedicated and knowledgeable. I am very thankful for their work in the rose garden as being there is like a dream come true.

A wonderful historical site to visit and an exceptional property that used to belong to a very wealthy family in the early development of Melbourne. It is really interesting to explore this large property and enjoy the beautiful gardens. The rise garden is nearly ready to bloom! A great place for a picnic or alternatively they now offer high tea which looked lovely!

A very beautiful mansion, with beautiful garden. The interior brought me back to the past. I could learn the story and history through provided audio guide available in each room. The view from balcony also breathtaking
