Comfort Resort Waters Edge

📍 Wedding venues in Port Macquarie

6.2

Comfort Resort Waters Edge in Port Macquarie offers a pleasant stay with scenic views and convenient access to local cafes and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, though some may show signs of age. The staff is generally helpful and friendly, with notable exceptions during breakfast service. The on-site restaurant offers a buffet, which can be pricey but satisfying for those with a hearty appetite.

The resort's prime location along the riverbank provides easy access to town and nearby beaches. While the pool and deck areas are enjoyable, they lack shade, which can be a drawback on sunny days. Overall, Comfort Resort Waters Edge is a solid choice for mid-range accommodation, offering a balance of comfort and value.

We came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day and what a beautiful place to stay. Our room was lovely and the view from our balcony was spectacular. It is in walking distance to everything cafes and restaurants. The shower is equipped with soap conditioner and shampoo and was one of the best showers we have used at a motel. There was a staff member called Mia who was so helpful and just lovely what a great front person to greet you as you arrived. I think the lady with the curly hair who was on the breakfast booking who stood there tapping her fingers when I was deciding whether to book in could learn about customer service from Mia! Apart from that a great place to stay 😊

We stayed at the hotel for pne night on a drive down the Gold Coast. The location was really good to explore the local area. Our room overlooked the pool and Port Macquarie. Our 10 Year old really enjoyed the pool eventhough we arrived in the evening. There was a steak night special the evening we stayed and must say it was one of the best steaks we've had, really good value. The staff were really helpful and accommodating to any requests. There was also free parking and a really nice time. Tea and coffee making facilities were good. Thank you.

Great for mid range budget accommodation. The foyer, bar area & restaurant are comfortable welcoming areas. The breakfast is a bit expensive for what it is, however being a buffet, if you are prone to really filling up your plate you'll appreciate it. My daughter loved the pancake maker. Sitting on the decking area alongside the river was a great way to start the day. The decking & pool are nice when not too much of a crowd around. Although there is no shade in the pool area on those hot sunny days. Rooms were nice, clean & comfortable. Renovation not fancy & showing a bit of age, but not a concern with the price. The staff were helpful & friendly, giving a relaxed informal feel to the place. The location is great. On the riverbank, just across from the Cafe & restaurant district of town, or a short walk to the local club. Great mid north coast beaches only a 10 min drive away. New years eve was very busy with a lot of families. A lot of noise up until the midnight fireworks were finished (as to be expected). The other nights were noticeably quieter. If you're looking for mid range accommodation, this place offers a bit more than the competition.

Room: bed was very comfortable and room was very clean BUT no exhaust fan in bathroom which is problematic Staff: reception lady on check in was very very nice and accomodating. Next day for breakfast a different story - staff hardly to be seen, stood for over 5 mins to be seated for breakfast and had to walk to find someone in the end. Food: $25 for a buffet is a bit steep, especially when you have to wait for food because the breakfast chef has not prepared enough food - who was not impressed when approached about it. As a chef myself, I would never let the stands go empty, but also if I was that miserable then I would have left. This is expressed through the quality of food that was dished out by this chef/cook. Would definitely recommend others to eat at local club next door or other local cafes - better value for money and quality.

Found this motel on google maps. Looked a nice location which it was. Found a superior room that included breakfast and daily room clean, so booked. On arrival, they stated it did not include breakfast. They offered breakfast at $20 each rather than the usual $25. We did not take them up on their offer. I was not going to pay for something twice. The next day we hung the Please Clean My Room sign on the door handle. Returning later to find the room was not cleaned. When asking at reception it was stated they don't clean on weekends or public holidays. This was not what was stated on the booking site. Now as for that, one might think that external booking sites might get it wrong. In this case it was their own booking site, Choice Privileges. I even joined to get better service and a discount, though the result was overpriced in the circumstances and very disappointed that I did not receive what I paid for. Oh, and if you thought cleaning the room only after one night was not an issue, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so was very steamy and towels did not dry. We had to collect some more from reception as we had already placed the wet ones on the floor expecting the room to be serviced.

The team at Comfort Waters Edge were amazing right from the initial bookings. The Manager, Andy, was so very helpful and accommodating, as were the weekend staff who greeted us and went above and beyond with their customer service. All staff we encountered were so happy, helpful, professional and customer focused. The hotel surpassed all my expectations! The staff was welcoming and accommodating right from the moment we checked in to all 10 rooms. The room was clean, and the views from our rooms were splendid. The breakfast spread was also quite tasty and the staff had no problem accommodating for 20 people. Great value for money.... will certainly be returning. Thank you!!

We had 2 stays over the period of just over a week. Certainly the room overlooking the pool on the ground floor was great. All the amenities are very good. Used to stay regularly on business and now that I’m retired it makes a nice stopover when having to travel back to Sydney or going home to the Gold Coast.
