Me and my friend decided to have lunch at the Fenery restaurant located in the Mosman club. It was Wednesday early afternoon and the restaurant was very quiet ( only few people around) we got seated in the bar area because my friend is in a wheelchair , I was told the bar area was the only place we can be seated. After a Quick Look at the menu we both decided to have green salad with added chicken .Took some time but the salad looked very impressive and that’s was only the look …. When it came to the taste a different story …. First the chicken was absolutely drench in cumin and same sweet chilli sauce… but definitely lots of cumin but the salad was drench in tangy lemony dressing what made the whole thing not great testing …. On top of that I have a funky smell to my salad and I found few pieces of slippery foul tasting cucumber…. That was the end of my enjoyment and my friend had very similar experience. Salads are not that complex and don’t over complicate simple things and definitely please advise before that the chicken is spiced up …. That will give people the choice ….
We held a bridal shower in the private room in The Fernery, the staff were so helpful And professional, food was lovely especially the beef sliders and the chocolate tart, thank you to Nicole, Brooke and the wonderful team.
Had a great Christmas lunch at the fernery. They did the set up really well, food was fine and well paced for the days. For kids would recommend they need to do a seperate kids menu as kids tend not to adult food like oysters. Would recommend to those that can’t host at home for sure!
The Fernery is a rooftop restaurant and bar area on top of the Mosman Club (RSL) with views across the city and Harbour heads. The atmosphere is great with a relaxed but stylish decor. I recently spent NYE here and the food provided was excellent, and although the bar was rammed at times, it didn't take to long to get served. Staff are friendly, drinks and tap options are quality, and views are great. Admittedly I haven't tried the restaurant yet, but I've always seen it busy.
I recently dined at The Fernery located inside the sports club, and it was a delightful experience. The food was exquisite, with each dish showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and impeccable presentation. The ambience was elegant, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that complemented the fine dining experience. Additionally, the views were stunning, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend The Fernery for those seeking a combination of exceptional cuisine, a refined atmosphere, and breathtaking views.
Oh what a shame had been here before but really not up to standard Was really looking forward to a lovely pre Xmas lunch with my family Slow service , poorly trained waitress Delays in drinks food and even water arriving to the table Note the place was not busy - Wednesday lunchtime At 12.30pm table for 4 Entree Garlic prawns tastey but bread not toasted had to ask for butter Not offered salt nor pepper Had brûlée more like watery custard 🙁awful complained - waitress said "sorry" Decided not good enough when found custard $22 on my bill Manager dealt with by removing from bill ,once challenged waitress when paying the bill If you are going to serve up food that doesn’t meet standard don’t send it out don’t expect patrons to pay for poor quality food learn to make brûlée or take it off the menu Lots of eateries to pick from in Mosman , don’t choose this one avoid disappointment
A spacious and beautifully decorated restaurant in a fantastic setting with stunning views. A strong menu and wine list are sometimes let down by the smaller things. On our third visit we came with family and enjoyed mostly fantastic mains (the beetroot penne is to die for) but undercooked chat potatoes in two mains plus a side (with no offer to take them off the bill) and occasionally slow service did take the gloss off our experience somewhat.
