A wonderful spot for breakfast with a stunning view that instantly sets the mood for a relaxed start to the day. The atmosphere is warm and inviting—bright, calm, and just the right balance of lively without feeling rushed. Service was genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, perfect for enjoying slowly while taking in the scenery. A great place to linger over breakfast, soak up the view, and leave feeling refreshed and well looked after.
Sadly very disappointed with this experience today 20/8/25 booked for my daughters birthday Long wait to be attended by head waiter Not even a happy birthday greeting so not felt welcoming at all Raining a lot ,long walk from carpark which is paid $4 an hour Venue pretty but cold no offer of heater or throw rug - draughty behind plastic cafe curtain today 13degrees!🥶 Although service friendly not very attentive Food the most disappointing - not good value $65 a head photos included we have had high tea in many venues and this was definitely the worst ! the conette very overpowering garlic taste French onion tartlet very strong flavour didn’t like the eggplant topping on small sandwich either looked good but didn’t taste good Liked the salmon rollette and chicken sandwich Basic sweet selection. Nothing special and meagre for cost of . Scone nice was warm thankfully Poor range of tea nothing compared to the barracks high tea options - very basic I expect a few more choices Would not recommend unless not hungry and going there to look at decor Can’t control the weather but need to think of patrons options when obviously cold day sitting out on a verandah Liked the vintage teacups but run of the mill teapots spoilt the tea service setting Small water view but not able to be enjoyed as weather not good today Wouldn’t recommend nicer places to go than here sadly
⭐️ 1/5 I had high hopes for Burnt Orange because Google and their website make it seem like an upscale, beautiful café experience. Naturally, that sets your expectations — but the reality was really disappointing. Firstly, the parking situation is terrible. You have to walk quite a distance and it’s paid parking ($4/hour), which already starts the experience on the wrong note. I had booked a table for 2 and specifically hoped for a balcony/view seating — which is honestly the whole point of coming here. Instead, we were given a table far away. When we politely asked to move (and we arrived on time), the staff said the balcony tables were fully booked. However… those same tables remained completely empty the entire 2 hours we were there. It felt dismissive and unnecessarily inflexible. And for a place that markets itself as "upscale," I was honestly shocked that they use thin, cheap paper napkins — not even cloth. Small detail, but it really shows the overall lack of care and quality. Overall, the experience felt overhyped, overpriced, and underwhelming. Definitely not worth returning, especially when there are so many truly lovely cafés in Sydney that actually match the standard they advertise.
Phenomenal experience at breakfast. Hotcake, corn fritters, big brekky - there’s not a dull moment. Been coming here for years and not once let down - breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Burnt Orange in Mosman is such a lovely spot. The ambience and views are absolutely incredible and perfect for a relaxed meal or catching up with friends. The food was equally impressive, fresh and full of flavour. Service was friendly and attentive which made the experience even better. Definitely a place I would happily return to
Loved the decor and views from Burnt Orange. The daily lunch special was not only good value but tasty, decent sized and the dessert included in the lunch special was particularly generous and delicious! If you'd like an alcoholic drink with the daily lunch special, it cost an extra $5. Very enjoyable lunch in beautiful surroundings.
What a gem! Had a lovely weekend lunch (group of six) for a special birthday. Restaurant has a great view over the harbour. Service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The food was fantastic, especially dessert (see photos)! There were plenty of options for the vegetarian in the group. Wine was good & well-priced. Overall, it was a fabulous experience! Recommend 👌🏻
