Cotswold Gardens

While room was fairly clean, it was very dated, the carpet was bare and stained, the walls needed painting and furnishings were old and marked. The gardens were dead, overgrown with weeds. Great position though, just badly needing some care and love

This was our last night of a tour from Brisbane to Brisbane via Canberra. All other accommodation was excellent however this was not. Room was dirty - went through three electric jugs before a clean working one was found. Obviously no vacuuming under bed or couch in room. Unable to have a shower as hot tap too tight to twist on. |Dinner okay in restaurant. Very disappointing and surprised with tour company fo4rbooking this.

Room was very outdated, lounge was covered in watermarks as though someone had spilt something or peed on it, room was smelled like sewage and was dusty, bed was comfortable, water pressure in shower was good and water was hot. Gardens could do with attention as it looked they have not been maintained. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Good bed. Helpful staff. For an older motel, it is nice. Walkable to town centre, pubs, etc. Great bakery about 100m away.

Very comfortable beds with good pillows. Room was clean and quiet and the bathroom likewise very good with good shower and towels. The traffic on the road outside ceases around 9 pm as it is only local traffic and there are no trucks as these all go on the Armidale Bypass rather than through town. The best aspect of staying here was the excellent restaurant. The ambience, food and service were all superb. All the meat is locally sourced and the cost was very reasonable for an excellent meal.

This was an overnight stay for us as we were attending a show the next day in Armidale. We arrived around 6.30pm and I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady on reception. She informed me there was a restaurant on site or we could have room service. The room was spotless and had all modern furnishings. It had everything we needed including heated blankets which were great as it was so cold in Armidale. My Grandsons words as we opened the room door were wow Nanny you have booked a really fancy place to stay. We decided on room service as we had been travelling all day and did not expect such amazing food. My husband had the beef cheeks and I had the ravioli both were absolutely delicious. They even did a nuggets and chips for my grandson with ice cream. I would 100% recommend this place to stay. The service, the cleanliness and the food are outstanding.

Reasonable accommodation. Main issue was that the room was too cold without heating, and too hot with heating. I was also disappointed with a 6 night booking that they wouldn't let me cancel and refund the final night, but rather offered "best price" on future bookings. I'm not sure there will be a future booking.
