Travelodge Hotel Hurstville Sydney

Loved my stay at Travelodge Hotel, Hurstville, Sydney. The rooms were spacious, neat, clean, and very well maintained. The staff were helpful and polite, especially the front desk team and the chef and staff at Above 8 Restaurant. The food was amazing—especially the paratha, which I really enjoyed. The hotel is wheelchair accessible and feels safe and comfortable. It is conveniently located right across the road from Westfield Mall, where you can find all major brands, Aldi, Coles, and great shopping options. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thanks to the entire team—kudos to everyone!

Stayed at the hotel for 15 nights and found it to be clean and hotel staff very friendly. Special mention to Greta who was working on reception when we arrived early on the Sunday morning as she managed to get our room sorted out earlier that day which we really appreciated. Also gave us some directions to the train station and knowledge of the area and I’m sure a valued member of staff Hurstville was a lovely place to stop especially with the T4 train line going to Bondi junction one way passing through Sydney and then Cronulla the opposite direction where there is a lovely coastal walk. If going to Australia again I would have no hesitation in stopping at travel lodge in hurstville and thank you for making our stay a happy one. Thanks Steve and Brian Halifax, England

The only negative was the bathroom floor hadn't been vacuumed very well. There was a clump of long black hair on the floor and another one in the bathroom sink. Otherwise it was a good location, handy to Westfield Shopping Centre and Hurstville Train Station.

Great location with clean and comfortable rooms. However we requested for our room to be cleaned and came back after a long day to see that this had not been done (even after putting the sign on our door requesting a clean). Unfortunately housekeeping had left for the day so reception staff were unable to assist. This was very disappointing and inconvenient, as we had expected basic housekeeping service as you would with any hotel. The rooms are equipped with a Chromecast which wasn't working on 2 different devices. Reception staff came to assist with troubleshooting to no avail and kindly offered for us to switch rooms. However even after moving to a different room and waiting 5-10 hours to reconnect our devices, we found that it still wasn't working. Again this was also disappointing as the rooms were not as advertised. Reception staff were generally friendly, but some attention to service consistency and in room amenities would go a long way. Overall a very ordinary stay, but considering the price I'd probably look to stay elsewhere next time.

Really nice hotel, very big bed room, modern and clean,comfy bed. Liliana in the reception is very friendly,so very happy for that. However the day of check out, the Asian girl with glasses that was in the reception, was super rude. I checked out , instead of saying thanks or good bye, she said you got a a very cheap price for your room... She was very obnoxious in front of everyone. I not the one putting the prices of the rooms. Just because of that I was quite upset the whole day.

This is my 5th stay over a 3 year period. Never disappoint. I love their minimalist style. Nothing fancy and everything is essential and functional. Facilities and rooms are well maintained, spotless. Water pressure in the shower is good. Despite not within city centre, it is next to Hurstville train station which is only about 20 mins to central (or less if you get on an express train). Club Central next to the hotel is a good complement if you are looking for entertainment and f&B service without leaving the premises. Definitely will return here during my next visit to Sydney.

It's a travelodge, so wasn't expecting much. BUT!! The jug had been used to make soup, in the jug, an the cleaning staff hadn't checked it. Worst of all, the bed, it was two singles pushed together, not unusual but it didn't have a king sheet on it, they were sepperate sheets an the beds were on wheels, it kept pushing appart. On top of that, while yes, it's the norm these days to have a top sheet, then the doona an another top sheet as the "doona cover" but this was a new low, it wasn't even a doona, it was a matress protector, it still had the elastic stays on it. That's a new level of cheap. The room was not well cleaned, an the bed was crap.
