Torre & Mordini Artisan Butchery
Address, a notable caterer in Australia, offers a mix of exceptional and inconsistent experiences. Their service quality shines through in their attention to detail, as seen in their beautifully presented and delicious Christmas ham. However, their offerings can be hit or miss, with some dishes not meeting expectations. The staff's friendliness and expertise are commendable, particularly among the younger butchers.
While their product quality is generally high, there have been instances of miscommunication in orders. We ordered a Christmas ham with the orange and brandy glaze to share with our daughter to be picked up on 4 December. The ham was presented beautifully and even though we were very relucant to ask Josh to unpackage it and cut it in half for us, Josh handled our request like a pro. He took the shank out separately and cut the rest of the ham in two, placed both on separate trays and they still looked beautiful. The ham is simply delicious, a real treat and we're enjoying it immensely. Very impressed with the quality of the produce and service received. Merry Christmas to all the staff at Torre & Mordini.
Second time I’ve bought arancini at $2.95 a ball from the shop. Some might enjoy the surprise of truffle and mushroom, but not me, first time I didn’t mention it, but another $10 put into their coffers and another surprise… three of the 10 full of mushroom. Will return them tomorrow. Should probably mention I was expecting bolognese! So, a few years later… normally not a bad thing to say about the butcher, but when I ask for the thick end of the fillet, I don’t mean the heavy end. This is not the Thick part of the fillet that I asked for, yes it is the fillet, but it’s just the weight I asked for (I asked for 600g but gave me 800g) but it’s not the cut I requested - $65. First world problem but come on guys, DO BETTER!
The best service I have ever encountered, super friendly and knowledgeable staff - expertise in the young butchers and a very diverse range of quality meats and products to choose from. While I am a local of the area, I would never contemplate going anywhere else, there's something to be said about paying for quality & this is definitely what you get - and if you haven't savoured their special inhouse jalapeno sausage then you don't know what you're missing out on. Lee and his team are exceptional which is why they are the best butcher north of the river - if you want cuisine this is where to be!
Incredibly costly for the most awful quality you can get. At this point just go buy at Woolworths . 4 small pieces of Angus 75 bucks and they were basically just nerves, fat and bones. You will never see me again. What a pity. Nice Italian name.
Fantastic service, the staff are very knowledgeable and are always happy to help. A very large selection of the best cuts of meat, local and international cheeses. Great for prepping a home cooked meal from scratch or getting a quick precooked meal for my crazy busy days.
Lovely Butcher with great meats - But saddest continental roll i've ever eaten. These should be discontinued. Grated bag cheese, iceberg lettuce, only 2 meats. That is all you'll get. Whoever labels these "things" as continental rolls should be ashamed. I could go on...
Extremely professional and top quality local butcher business. Staff are trained and highly educated making sure you find exactly what you need. Highly recommend their TomaHawk steak attached. Definitely the go place to spoil friends and family for any occasion.
