⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience! Cafe Aubowan absolutely blew me away. The food was out of this world — every bite felt like I’d been transported straight back to Sri Lanka. It’s authentic to the core, bursting with real flavours and made with so much heart. The value for money is incredible, and the service is genuinely outstanding. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and honest that it felt less like a restaurant and more like visiting family. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be telling all my friends about this gem. Highly, highly recommended! 🌿🇱🇰✨

If you want to try real Sri Lankan authentic flavours, this is absolutely the place to go. Every dish has that true village style taste rich, aromatic, and full of the traditional flavours we grew up with. I’ve been ordering meals from Cafe Ayubowan for a few years now, and not once have I been disappointed with the taste or quality of the food. Dasun and Nilu, the lovely couple who run the business, always cook everything themselves to ensure the flavours stay 100% authentic. Their passion truly shows in every meal. My personal favourites are the Village Rice (Gamee Bath) and the Chicken Biriyani both packed with flavour and always cooked perfectly. Not only is the food amazing, but their customer service is consistently 5-star. They are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. If you want to experience real Sri Lankan flavours in Melbourne, there’s no better place than Cafe Ayubowan. Highly recommended!

The worst srilankan restaurants i've ever been.I ordered the Seafood Nasi Goreng late at night, and unfortunately it was spoiled.🤮 The food smelled very bad and had a sticky texture, which is a clear sign that it was not fresh. It was obvious from the smell even before eating that something was wrong. I tried a few bites but couldn’t continue eating because it tasted off and made me feel sick. Shortly after, I even vomited. This was a very unpleasant experience. Please make sure to check the freshness of the food before packing and sending it to customers. Food like this should not be delivered to people, as it can seriously affect someone’s HEALTH. Please dont do this.❌❌❌❌❌ This is not the first time this happend before i thought its a mistake so i didnt really write an review for that. I can not forget that unpleasant smell and experience.🤮 Please Dont do this to ur customers. Worst experience ever

This place is truly a hidden gem! The food is incredibly underrated, and you can really feel the passion and warmth of the humble owners in every dish. Easily one of my top go-to spots in Cranbourne—hands down!

I recently visited this restaurant after reading some positive reviews, and I had high hopes. I ordered the biryani, which was absolutely fabulous—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. However, I was disappointed with the chicken; both the leg and thigh were incredibly dry, making it tough to chew. It felt like there might have been a trainee or someone new handling the orders, as there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. Despite this setback, I’m willing to give the place another chance. It could have just been an off day for them. Since the biryani rice was so good, I believe the rest of the menu has potential. I won’t let this one experience define my overall impression, but I do hope for better next time.
