Glorious Sunday afternoon, UFC about to start and looking for a place to call home for the next few hours, sounds like a familiar lazy Sunday afternoon, except this all happened at a place in South West Sydney, Canley Vale to be exact.  Arguably the food capital of Sydney, one type of venue it was missing has now appeared in the form of Bar 53. I came here with a few friends and tried the new menu from Kitchen X, I've had plenty of burgers and there is always something reassuring when you notice the Martin's Rolls are being used, the smash here is some of the best I have had with cheese nicely melted and bacon super crisp.  Fried chicken has more of a soft batter which goes well with this place.  Renkon chips is always a must for me and always a struggle to find, not anymore!  Chicken tenders are deliciously good and thick cut loaded fries are always a winner for me.  Cheeseburger spring rolls, what else can I say but epic!! This visit was a knock out, cannot wait for the rematch, if you live local, you are incredibly lucky.

Funky set up with friendly staff. Had the UFC on the big screen so we stayed and watched a bit. Ordered a couple of burgers and fries which were hot and oozing with delicious flavours. Smash paddy wasn't too thin and had a good crunch to the edges with a good sauce to meat ratio. If the burgers were a bit bigger this place would be perfect!

Sorry to say despite the food being tasty it really isn't worth the price in comparison to other places. Loaded fries were tiny for $12.50 and so are the burgers. Cheeseburger spring rolls are $9 and you get two. The Big 53 is $19 and is anything but big. Compared to other burger places its a massive rip off.

Burgers are tasty, not too expensive Chicken bites could be better, low chicken vs batter ratio, would be better with chunkier pieces rather than chicken strips

Amazing burger !! Had wedges aswell but that burger was one of the best I've had 🤩

Food was fantastic. The burgers are a must.
