Le Rendez-Vous Cafe Patisserie Randwick

Amazing B&E roll! The buns was 100% fresh (note: this was a Sunday!), the egg whites cook w/ the yolk slightly runny, and enough bacon for every bite. I’ll absolutely be back w/ my dog (it’s super K9 friendly)!

Loved the simplicity and deliciousness of roast beef sandwich. The cake was shared with friends over dinner. I appreciated the personalised advice to warm it in oven before serving, as it brought back the caramel to life!

We ordered a veggie breakfast and a big breakfast with two coffees and the wait was agonisingly long. Coffees only came after about 20mins and the food took close to an hour to get to us. Service was nice.. staff were polite.. there weren’t a lot of staff but in contrast there wasn’t a great deal of foot traffic either - although the cafe was decently filled with customers. Coffees were acceptable - decent, however the food was very average.. Big breakfast, no chorizo in sight but swapped out for a mystery beef patty that was too heavily seasoned. Veggie breakfast seemed random in its composition and honestly, the wait was so long I don’t even remember what we ordered or what was meant to be in our order. I try to support local/small businesses but I would be lying if I felt the urge to come back any time soon.

I had Eggs Benedicts & my husband had Avocado Smash, food was tasty, large coffee is quite big. Everything we had was tasty. We also had eclairs and vanilla slice, they were quite dry but ok.

We walked out without ordering. We sat inside at the back inside and it was swarming with fruit flies. I understand maybe two but 20 is too much. I felt like I was in my apartment bin room about to inhale a fly. Ick. It might well be a nice place but the one point was too horrible to stick around to find out. Disappointing as we drive across town to visit.

This cafe was very unwelcoming and unsanitary. I sat down at a table and was quietly working on my laptop (I had ordered a coffee and a croissant). They had a regular who was making very loud and uncomfortable comments. This regular was also clearly upset that I was sitting in his group of tables for his friends, even though the staff didn’t tell me this space was reserved when I sat down. I was asked to move to another table after he very loudly asked the waitress to "get rid of her". To top this off, when I started getting my things, I saw a small cockroach crawling around on the floor. I understand wanting to keep regular clients happy but this seems to be at the expense of new clientele. Food and coffee were ok, but I will not be returning.

Found this place by chance. Best granola I have ever had. Lots of fresh fruit. Nice cafe. Friendly service. Great food.
