Reasonably clean venue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was not great. Small serving of chips on each plate, that were barely warm. The Captain Burger patty tasted shop bought and was not very nice. The egg was cooked nicely, sunny side up. The flat head was a pitful portion, dry and flavourless. Steamed veg weren't really cooked at all. The cauliflower shot off the plate when trying to cut it along side the smallest portion of salad. Certainly not worth $28. The churros weren't bad but I don't know if I would get them again. We didn't send any of the food back because I was just thankful I didn't have to cook at home. Sadly, I don't think we'll be comjng back again. Thank you for having us though
We had a very nice lunch here; flathead tails and calamari. Both meals were delicious, the salad fresh and the chips very good. Prices are amazing, two meals and two drinks for under $50. Highly recommend if you're after an unpretentious meal in nostalgic surrounds.
We had dinner there and the food was good, and the service was good as well. My only negative is other patrons wearing hats inside. When has it become acceptable for men and boys to sit in a restaurant and not remove their hats. Shows a lack of respect for the establishment and other patrons.
My partner and I went for a meal. We had 8 mins before the cooks finished cooking but we got roast of the day. The pork roast was very good and decent size. They even had great crackling and roast carrots..that was definitely a 10 out of 10. It's hard to find a place that do roasts and roast the carrots. The golf course itself looked lovely. There was quite a few kangaroos as it was coming on dusk. Looked like a good golf course to. Well maintained
Attended a Christmas Party here with my wife and the facility is too nice. Ample car park, nice and friendly staff all around, bar is full of nice drinks and tap drinks. The time was pretty hot and could not sit outdoors which was a miss. Nice food fish and chips and nice garlic bread. Recommended.
We came with friends on 10th & 15th December and found the staff and food to be lovely. I had Satay Chicken and Surf and Turf. My friends and partner enjoyed their meals also. Have to say parma garlic bread is not for me but everyone at the table did enjoy it and I had some cheese garlic bread instead which was yummy.
Whilst I didn't expect great seafood this far from the ocean, I certainly didn't expect the horrid SEAFOOD PLATTER I was served. See pics attached. According to the menu there are grilled prawns. These never arrived. When requested, the small plate of shrimps arrived within minutes. Clearly from a peed-off chef. The scallops were fake - see the picture of one rolled out. The brother had the mixed grill which was swamped in gravy. He too was not impressed. Notable service from the lovely Ellen, and another young girl from behind the bar. Avoid the grumpy clock-tattooed lass. Brrrrr...
