7.9

Wild Cattle Creek Estate, nestled in Wandin North, is a winery and wedding venue with a unique charm. The location is praised for its tranquility, offering an escape from city life. The estate features a 2-bedroom villa with a functional kitchen, although the lounge and dining areas could use updates. The restaurant, while offering top-quality products, has received mixed reviews, suggesting improvements in meal preparation and service.

The estate boasts a large expanse of land with potential, but it requires more maintenance to enhance its appeal. The staff's friendliness and efficiency are noteworthy, especially during busy events like Shed Fest. A winery ran by an Asian owner. Dont think this place will survive. Place was sad looking, isolated and unappealing. We thought we get away from city life and be somewhere quiet. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa. The rooms and layout was good with a fully functional kitchen but the lounge and dining furniture definitely needs to be dumped. There isn’t much to do whilst staying there so a decent working TV would have been ideal. Instead the TV had two channels operational. We thought we’d try the restaurant. It was bad, only 6 people dining the whole night. The meals were top quality products and our steak was burnt. We left after our stay the next day and it must have been the owner cleaning. I handed him my keys, no eye contact no attempt to make conversation and get feedback. The place has potential to boom. So much land but nothing done to it to entice customers. I do not recommend this place.

The location is very good. But the property needs to put more effort to maintain it. The sheer curtains are all broken and should be replaced by new one. The room is clean but outside should to put more effort to make it tidy and clean

Should of know it wasn’t gonna be a well run place when we pulled in to the carpark with over grown vineyards, just went for dinner on a Friday night, barely anyone in the joint, service was awkward and weird. Food tasted like it had been frozen and defrosted 100 times, wine tasted like it was left open for a week and over all just an uncomfortable tasteless experience. Looks better than it is, Do NOT recommend.

Unbeknowingly we visited the Wine Region during the Shed Fest which caused some issues finding a place to accommodate us for lunch. We came across Wild Creek Cattle, who although were very busy with a wedding, unexpected tour buses and a full restaurant, could not have been more helpful. Without drama we were shown to an outside table with a lovely view of the vineyards. The meal choices were varied and interesting and our party of 4 enjoyed a very nice meal indeed. However, the friendliness of the staff really made an impression upon us - every staff member who we came into contact with were personable, friendly and efficient. It is so nice to be greeted by staff who genuinely love their jobs and this shows in their attitude to customers. This was no mean feat as they were extremely busy. Unfortunately, nowadays this is not always the case. We had a very pleasant afternoon and so pleased we dropped in when we did.

We stayed in one of the beautiful lodges for accommodation near a family wedding. The reception staff were incredibly kind, the location simply stunning and the Lodge itself was amazing. Modern but with loads of country charm and equipped with everything needed for a family self-catering holiday! My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended.

Came here today for our work lunch Christmas break up. We were the only people here dining and still the service was a little slow. Our drinks order was mixed up and took a long time to come out. Three of our four steaks were served cold but we were so hungry we ate them anyway. The flavours were incredible though. It's a beautiful environment and I'd still love to return at some point.

We dined in for dinner and unfortunately the prawns in the trio entree were extremely smelly and tasted terrible. When telling the server they brushed it off and no mention of apology or comp from the bill. It ruined our dining experience as they sat on the table getting smellier and we can still taste it on our palate and hands after cleaning. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
