Flying Brick Cider Co

Went here for an afternoon drink. Parking is big, gravel. Easy to get to if you’re coming from Geelong, Mt Duneed but from Melbourne around 2 hours drive one way. Great views if you’re coming from Barwon Heads beach. It is beside Adventure Park Geelong. The venue is big with generous indoor and outdoor seatings. Big space for customers to spread out. Staffs were attentive and helpful especially sharing their cider specialties. They are also selling some fun merch. Wheelchair and pram friendly. I didn’t see any bus or public transport service. We tried their paddles and that was fun. We had a relaxing afternoon drink.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Fantastic selection of drinks, food was absolutely delicious, the vibe felt great and the entire staff were nothing short of charming and joys. We arrived a wee early for our reservation which was no bother for them. They checked who was driving just to let us know that some ciders were significantly stronger with up to 8% alcohol (greatly appreciated) and were very knowledgeable on how each cider tasted and even gave us some recommendations for the padel (they were all fabulous but I so highly recommend the PANGO or the PACINGA on a cold day. I had the seafood linguine which was all fresh seafood and the taste was to die for! Followed up by a vanilla crème brûlée which is one of the best I’ve had. Finished with a rhubarb cocktail which I also highly recommend. All throughout our time waiters would check that everything was fine, if we needed anything and were super patient with my indecisiveness. Next time we’re back we so look forward to dining here again

Drove down for a late lunch when all the cafes and restaurants in town closed their doors at 3pm. There were plenty of tables, despite the parking lot having loads of vehicles. All the servers were outstanding. I had the burger, which was tasty and came with a generous amount of bacon, cheese, pickles and fries. Wife had the fish of the day - a good-sized fillet of snapper. She wanted fries, and we were told to order an $11 bucket, when in actuality there were enough fries with the burger for both of us. For drinks I had the Original Cider, which was beautiful. Wife ordered the "Japanese style" beer which was bitter and not at all like an Asahi or Kirin or Sapporo. It should have been called an IPA. Interior is vast with an amazing wooden ceiling, but concrete floors and glass walls meant a lot of noise, even though it was just two groups of 8 people and us. It was great weather, so there was an outdoor bar serving lots of tables and benches on the lawn, with plenty of space for kids to run around.

The high cheese was exceptional! I get why it’s only offered during the week but would be great to have some weekends when it’s available! The overall experience was great though our server seemed very over thier shift. Hats off to the chefs they came up with incredible dishes!

We tried the cider tasting paddle at Flying Brick Cider Co and it was excellent. We really enjoyed it and got to taste a good variety. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a very cosy and relaxed place to spend time with family or friends. Make sure to buy some of their ciders before you leave, as you cannot find them in the supermarket. If you do not like sweet ciders like me, I highly recommend the Pango and the draught, they were the best.

Went for the cheese high tea. Most everything was amazing that was on offer. There was no hard cheese on the board. There were soufflés warmed Camembert lots of nibbles but no hard cheese. That’s my only recommendation for them to change that up a bit. The Lahbna was AMAZING. All the service and everything else was fabulous.

Wow! First visit to Flying Brick for dinner on a Saturday night. Service from all staff was amazing. The food was to die for. The guitarist playing in the corner was great.
