Capitol Theatre Tamworth

7.3

The Capitol Theatre Tamworth stands as a well-established venue, blending classic charm with modern accessibility. Its seating ensures clear views of the stage, while facilities cater to all guests, including wheelchair users. The on-site kiosk offers reasonably priced refreshments, and ample parking with validation adds convenience.

The theatre hosts a diverse lineup of performances, from family-friendly shows to concerts, though seating comfort may pose challenges for larger guests. While the venue excels in ambiance and service, minor improvements—such as streamlined entry processes and drink-holding spaces—could enhance the overall experience.

Seating is good, theres no blind spots where you cant see the stage. There is lifts and spaces to put wheelchair users. There is a kiosk which is reasonably priced which sells alcoholic beverages and snacks. They have a large variety of sgows and productions ranging to include kids to seniors and ample parking and parking ticket validation saves you money

We attended the Tamworth Country music 🎶 festival as well as watching a few concerts at the Capital theatre, great place to watch a concert.

Great venue, but seats are very smaller for larger people, so when you have larger people on both sides, they bulge out under & over the arm rests and you have to sit there with arms stretched forward. 1 lady said she literally had to work her way into the seat and can't get out until the end, as it was embarrassing for her.

Great shows but show times show total lack of concern for those in the Tamworth region who live in the bush. So many shows are scheduled for the evening when it is dangerous to drive because of kangeroos. For me it would be a two hundred km round trip in the dark - no thanks even with flood light bar etc.

Beautiful older theatre. Great for intimate and smaller shows. Was watching granddaughter perform. Had a wonderful view too. Only thing noted last night, there is no where to sit your drink, whilst watching the show.

Service is good. Food is good. Theatre chairs are dirty and something bit me on the arm whilst there

Saw Ian Moss for the Machbook 30th Anniversary show. While the show itself was fantastic, the handling of the foyer and bar could do with a rethink. Its absolutely ridiculous to make everyone scan in with the COVID safe app, then make everyone crowd into the foyer in each other's laps and wait for the bar and show to open. Definitely need to be more streamlined.
