The Tea Room QVB

Beautiful place nested within the historic QVB for high tea or venue hire. Service is amazing, and the interior is just wonderfully regal with high ceilings and period furnishings. The standard high tea is filling enough and of a reasonable standard.

Attended the High tea with Santa on 22/12 and with a stuff up (mine with timezones) were to a person amazing. The attention to detail, care and loveliness from every single person there was amazing. The food, setting and experience were stunning and my daughter loves it, as did I and the rest of my family. Highly recommend

Wonderful place for High Tea. So elegant. Everyone looking after us was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious catering for all preferences and allergies, great choices of teas, coffees and the over 18 drinks. Extremely well priced especially when you consider you’re in the QVB. Add it to your High Tea list.

The people at the Tea Room really went above and beyond for me at my wedding. My venue burnt down 2 weeks before the big day, so I was very stressed. Angela got back to me with availability and pricing and stayed responsive, and Gabriella worked with me and put together an amazing reception on such short notice. On the actual night, the staff were amazing. The event manager even personally went out to purchase an alcohol free beer for one of my guests when asked if they had any. Dance floor was amazing as well🎉 I would highly recommend the Tea Room and staff for any event.

Very pleasant experience dining here today! We were greeted with lots of enthusiasm from all the lovely staff and guided to our really nice table. Thank you for providing a great experience and the food was amazing! We really enjoyed the lighter versions of morning tea as it was filling yet satisfying. Lovely sweet treats 😊 Great ambience to sit down and have a chat.

Wow what an amazing afternoon tea experience at the QVB Tea Room. The room itself is stunning, an old ballroom and the decor reflects old English Renaissance style. The tea and food was superb, I enjoyed the traditional high tea and my spouse enjoyed the sandwich plate. I opted for earl grey however they have many selections of tea. We were impressed with the quality of food and level of service. Our service was excellent. I really enjoyed the savory dishes with my tea and the scones were my favorite. As someone who has gone for afternoon tea in several high end establishments in Canada, US and UK the Tea Room in Sydney is on the level of these other high end tea rooms. Highly recommend! We went as walk ins on a Tuesday afternoon however you may want to make a reservation on the weekend or a holiday as I imagine it gets busy.

We celebrated a friend’s 75th birthday with dinner and party at the Tea Room in the Queen Victoria Building, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The space is absolutely beautiful and elegant, the kind of setting that makes any occasion feel extra special. The service was wonderful - attentive, warm, and professional throughout the evening. The dinner itself was excellent, with every dish beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Everything came together seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the celebration. It was the ideal venue for such an important milestone, and we left with memories we’ll always treasure. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Sydney.
