The Island Gold Coast

The location of the resort is perfect for a surfers holiday. We were within walking distance of everything! The beach, the shops, attractions. It was ideal in that way, especially having a little person with us. The service of everyone we interacted with was amazing. The housekeepers were lovely, attentive, and always asked if we needed anything. A downside was the elevators. They seemed super sketchy and gave off a never been upgraded vibe. Our balcony door didn't lock easily and needed to be really pulled before we could lock it. Overall, it's a great resort in Surfers. It's location and charm would have us rebooking again

It was a last minute booking we made (secured the deal for the last available room at that price) and it was the best decision we made! We had to leave our airbnb due to room cleanliness concerns. Really great central location and lovely room, with great amenities. We enjoyed the proximity to shops nearby. The room size was suitable for up to 4 pax, along with the provision of amenities such as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The complimentary snacks and beverage packets provided in the room upon check-in were a great touch, and we even got a refill on the chips (they were a great hit with my friends) on our second day. Thank you for providing a great and welcoming experience and I’ll be considering staying here should I visit Gold Coast again.

The Island Hotel NEXT LEVEL customer SERVICE… 1. They let us check in (10:30am)way earlier than standard 2pm 2. They said for us to park anywhere in their car spaces prior to check in 3. They gave us a room that wasn’t clean like someone was still living in it, babycott and all BUT WAIT… they gave us room upgrade which was way bigger NO CHARGE! 4. They allowed us a late checkout on Sunday no charge! 5. I booked a total of 3 rooms each with 2 double beds. 6. We was allocated a very sweet booth next to the bar at there rooftop downstairs with free round of drinks from a blue band they gave me We entered the same way when we left the Island with the biggest smiles on our faces. Thank you the Island Hotel Management for showing us love while there. Like this review and the Island will give my family a FREE weekend away to stay with them😍🙏🏾💯🫡 Salute

Location is very good with the tram just metres away. The beach is a short stroll and shopping areas too.||The room was spacious and well presented. As is the reception. We were greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service.||The bathroom is ok though small.||The property needs some maintenance, lifts and lift doors carpets are rusty and worn.||If you enjoy loud noise, screens in every corner with different sport including dog/ horse racing then the restaurant/ bar will suit you.

This location is excellent—it’s less than a 2-minute walk to the beach. Everything in the room was great. If I had to be picky, the elevator is a bit old, but there are also many delicious restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

We booked ahead for a Superbowl Party! This is our 3rd year, but is probably going to be our last. It was better when we had menu choices for our party admission. This time we had a Brekky Roll included that was the least appealing thing I've ever seen. The drink choices too, were unappealing for a female attending with my guy. The process to get our names checked off upon arrival was slow. The line ups forfood and drinks was super long and the felivery of our only food choice was very slow. They were ill equipped to deal with the crowd even though we booked and paid well in advance. Next year we'll be looking for a better option with better service, more choices. It was better before.

The event was perfect! Everyone had a blast! The staff were so lovely, the food was great and the attention to dietary restrictions was deeply appreciated by myself and the other attendees. The drinks were amazing and we had plenty left over. All in all an amazing venue and I'll definitely keep it in mind if I need another venue in the future 🙂
