Strathfield Golf Club Events

Today my family was very disappointed when we attended a wake in one of the function rooms at the Strathfield Golf club. The food was absolutely not acceptable the 70 guests did not eat even after a long day of attending our loved ones funeral. I strongly advise for anyone wanting to book in a venue please look elsewhere.

We were treated like queens - so much attention !! Lovely food in well sized portions, lovely tea and the outlook divine. Count me in for another day at the Event Centre !!

Beautiful club house & venue centre. The pop up Tapas ^ Paella or Dumpling Bar is a great idea, but probably better staying with the dining or bistro menu. The staff are attentive although a little slow getting dirty dishes of the tables. Pet peeve of mine is being given the container at the table to dish up your own take away if you want to take it home. Nice variety of cocktails beer & wine etc. Enjoyed my night .

Thank you to SEC staff, especially Stoney, Julie and Dawn for the amazing 90th birthday celebration that we had for my Nonna. The room and tables were beautiful, the food was delicious and generous. Everyone commented on how lovely it was, we were attended to in every way.

The staff were amazing. We unfortunately had to arrange a wake here and everyone was so kind and compassionate. Highly recommend if you have an event to use this place! Thank you all so much once again for you support and compassion. You are truly wonderful people!

We used the event centre to hold a wake for my uncles funeral at Rookwood cemetery. The event centre is conveniently close to the cemetery, but has no views of the cemetery. Parking is no issue, with both undercover & off street parking. The function rooms are large and spacious, with floor to ceiling window views out to the manicured lawns & greens of Strathfield golf club. The problem with wakes is that you are never sure how many people are going to show up. Luckily the venue has processes in place, to handle this contingency with their food packages The food offered as part of the package is of high quality & bar prices are reasonable. Stoney, the event manager was very helpful in getting the event organized. So highly recommended.

Wow, what a venue! This place is something else - beautiful outlook, gorgeous setting, great food, attentive service, kind and empathetic staff. We held my father in law's wake here. SEC thank you for making a difficult afternoon beautiful. Definitely recommend.
