📍 Wedding venues in Scarborough
The Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough offers a prime beachfront location, perfect for those seeking a lively coastal retreat. Its historic charm shines through the retro aesthetic, blending nostalgia with modern amenities like a welcoming pool and spa area. The hotel excels in hospitality, with attentive staff and a vibrant atmosphere, especially during live events and bar nights.
While the rooms reflect their vintage roots, they remain comfortable for short stays, and the on-site Street Eats eatery delivers excellent value with generous, flavorful meals. Guests should note the occasional noise from live music, which adds to the energetic vibe but may not suit those preferring tranquility. Overall, it’s a solid choice for travelers prioritizing location and entertainment over luxury.

Your lucky I didn't one star you, but honestly had the best time at your venue. It wasn't until I had to pee and had no toilet paper. Honestly check your toilets when you have gigs. Nothing worse then me having pee on myself 🙁 Great venue, great vibes. But it's not COVID times get some toilet paper. No one had a square to spare. That or they are to young to even understand!
We absolutely loved staying here, everything was spot on: I was a bit worried about staying due to some of the reviews but didn’t need to. Yes it could do with a complete renovation but hey it’s 50 plus years old. If you are planning on staying in the hotel room for long periods of time then why the hell are you coming to Perth. The bed is probably the comfiest I have slept in and the shower did what it needed to do. Fresh towels and tidy every day and nothing was too much bother. The bar that is part of the hotel had some decent bands on and served great beers/wine and the small pool did its job. One thing missing was some sun-loungers but get why they don’t provide them. The area has some restaurants and the beach is unbelievable. Great stay all round. Not looking forward to leaving tomorrow would stay here again if back in the area.
Not good value. Old faded 60s style carpet in hallway and rooms. Plastic shower curtain in bathroom also a leftover from the 60s. Cashless, so you have to use a card. And then management applies a surcharge when you do use your card. Talk about wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Only good experience in this overpriced, old venue is the food from their Street Eats eatery. Reasonably priced, generous serves and tasty.
Exactly what as described. Good place to stay by the beach in Perth. Loud live music on the Thursday night but we were warned before and it was fine. Nice pool, amenities and rooms.
My fiance booked us a room for a few nights during my trip from America! We had a lovely time being so close to the beach and enjoying the amenities here. As someone who’s been to Las Vegas many times, this place was very reminiscent for me! We had a great time here and the staff made it even better, they were so accommodating, helpful, and kind. Thank you for a lovely experience!
The Indian Ocean Hotel has an amazing location, just a short walk to the beach and town centre. The spa and pool area are a real highlight and very enjoyable. Rooms are definitely dated, but overall reasonably clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. The main downside is the noise. There is loud, thumping music every night — on some nights it went until midnight. While the hotel is known for its live events, this isn’t always made clear to guests if booking well in advance as the event details aren’t available. If you’re looking for a place to relax with peaceful evenings, this isn’t the right choice. For those who love nightlife and live music, it could be perfect, but unfortunately it wasn’t our scene so we won’t be returning.
For this of the hotel I’m shocked with how the outcome was to be honest. I will give u prod and cons. Pros:near beach, nice staff, nice vibe Cons: no customer service, no room service, the pool is a size of a backyard pool, rooms smaller then a egg shell, bathrooms can hardly fit every day items, hardly any power points, the balcony I stayed on hsd a large crack witch a baby could fall from. Over all I will never be coming here again, you should come to this hotel is you enjoy spending money on nothing.
