The Pickled Sisters Cafe + Restaurant

Ate here for the first time a few days ago, it did not disappoint. Food was absolutely amazing and very rich. There is a variety of all different dishes which are very hard to choose from. The entrees are worth trying as well as asking about specials as they are also very delicious. unfortunately I couldn’t finish my meal due to the richness however the serving size is completely normal. The drinks were also great and complimented the meal nicely.

Always a delight dining at The Pickled Sisters. The staff and exceptionally kind and lovely always, the food is incredibly delicious and the venue is such a warm, cozy and inviting space. We absolutely love coming and thoroughly enjoyed our Mother’s Day Lunch this year.

We had a lovely Monday lunch at Pickled Sisters cafe/restaurant. What a gem of a restaurant in the little town of Rutherglen. Sat outside under the grapevines as we were tourists and travelling with a dog. It was quite a warm day but it was rather pleasant sitting outside under the shade. The food was first class and probably the best meal out we have had during our 7 month trip so far. Plenty of fresh produce and combinations of flavours. Meal sizes were perfect in that we left satisfied without feeling over fed. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality food experience at a reasonable price.

Fantastic lunch here on a beautiful Saturday. There guys have got a very interesting menu, very gourmet style food here, and I loved how they have wine paring suggestions with each item on the menu. We decided to sit in the courtyard dining area outside, loved the eclectic feel to this place. We began by ordering coffees, and they were perfectly made to our liking. After coffee, we ordered the fresh house made bread with Dukkah and olive oil as an appetiser, and for mains I had the chilli dusted baked Sardines, and the missus had the potato gnocchi. Wow! The food here is just next level, and they are very fast service too. The owner lady was very engaging to her customers, friendly and very professional hostess. Prices are pretty good here, considering the quality and calaber of the food and the overall dining experience. 6 stars if I could give it.

We contacted Pickled Sister Friday afternoon to enquire about options for a bikeride picnic for the following day. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, especially with dietary requirements. We had the most delightful 3 courses packed with all the required cutlery, crockery, etc. The food was so awesome. We rode to various wineries who all were great in allowing us to use their tables to eat and also to select the perfect accompanying wine. Can't recommend this service enough.

What an absolute treat! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and swift. It was really tough to choose what to eat but it was clear there were no bad choices - only wish we were dining with more guests so we could have sampled more dishes. I forgot to photograph the dessert - but the lemon myrtle ricotta donuts were a sensational end to our feast along with an excellent array of tea options! There are lots of lovely spots to visit in Rutherglen but we were so happy we chose The Pickled Sister. The staff were very kind to us dining with our bub in the pram. Many thanks to Sara and her charming son for making a rare chance to dine as new parents so enjoyable!
