Such a lovely place to visit — especially in September during the Tulip Festival! The gardens are absolutely stunning, so colourful, and so calming to walk through. The gift shop feels like a little wonderland with so many cute things to browse. If you’re looking for a relaxing picnic spot, a cosy café to sit and listen to the birds sing, or simply a beautiful place to wander, you’ve found it. The little train ride is so much fun and adds to the whole experience! Truly such a peaceful, pretty escape. 💐
We went after tulip season so they had already lost all their petals but there’s still so much to see and explore, we loved following the map to find all the areas. We didn’t take a picnic but it would be great to as there’s plenty of picnic and BBQ areas. Easily spend a good few hours here so don’t rush your visit. Staff were all so friendly and happy to chat too!
Great day out especially in spring with lots of tulips and flowering plants to see and enjoy. Gets very busy though. Great entertainment (live music) and lots of food truck and coffee vans down on the main lawn area. The main cafe was a little limited for food choice (pre-packaged sandwiches and cakes) The restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was delicious here with a nice view on the balcony. Over all it's a nice day out, just remember to bring a bottle of water and a hat, especially on a sunny day
We visited Araluen Botanic Park one week ago and absolutely loved it. The gardens are in full spring bloom right now, endless tulips and spring bulbs everywhere you look and it’s breathtaking. It’s their Springtime Tulip Festival season, with hundreds of thousands of tulips planted across the hillsides, and you can really feel the festival atmosphere. There was live music and plenty of food and drink options while we wandered, plus the Chalet Healy Café is open if you’d like a sit-down bite, really handy with kids. Great spot for a picnic too: the park provides barbecues on site (so you don’t need to bring your own), and there’s lots of lawn and shady areas to relax between flower beds. Beautiful blooms, family friendly vibes, and a gorgeous Perth Hills setting. Highly recommend visiting this spring. 🌷
We travelled to Araluen Botanic Park for the most talked tulip festival on Saturday. We had to be in queue for entry tickets for about 10-15 minutes and paid $40 per head. I forgot to take my student ID for a concession. This time around, maybe because it's weekend, it's quite crowded especially their opening meadow and ampitheatre. We had to park our cars at the farthest parking and walk for 10-15 minutes to get at the entry gate. However, wonderful garden of different tulips of various colurs and species, other flowers and plants gave us worth visiting experiences. The area is so vast and yet the park management has done it in managing it so well. They also have social painting and live music events at the ampitheatre.
A hidden emerald in the Perth Hills, Araluen Botanical Park offers a breathtaking blend of exotic flora and native bushland. It’s more than just a garden; it’s a peaceful escape into a world of terraced hillsides and heritage charm. Highly recommended!
