We were here for dinner and it was decent, solid pub fare. Dated interior but lovely view and good simple food. Both the grilled fish and chips and spiced pumpkin salad were delicious and generously sized. Average prices.

Where do I begin? Granted, I’m not a member of the club but on booking a table for 6, was told told that wouldn’t be an issue as long as we signed it correctly. On entering the establishment, we we left to dither about waiting for anyone to acknowledge our presence then were told our booking couldn’t be found. Eventually we seated ourselves. Our lunch was served timely, however, it was disappointing to say the least. I haven’t been served such horrible food in a while and only one person out of our group of 6 ate more than a quarter of half of their meal. Do not go to this establishment for a good meal. Go for the view and the drinks.

Love this place. The food’s always tasty, the beer’s cold, and the prices are pretty decent. I volunteer here most Saturdays and really enjoy it – it’s a good vibe, friendly crew, and just a great place to spend time. Whether you’re grabbing a feed or helping out, it’s always a positive experience.

I really wanted to like the Cruising Yacht Club Rockingham, but unfortunately this visit felt less "nautical charm" and more "stranded in a time warp." The food was… ambitious. Burnt yet somehow underwhelming, and priced like it had been flown in from a five-star restaurant rather than cooked somewhere between the 1980s and now. Paying premium prices for charred disappointment is a bold business model, I’ll give them that. The venue itself looks like it hasn’t been updated since shoulder pads were fashionable — and not in a cute retro way. Think tired, dirty, and in desperate need of a scrub and a rethink. Even the dust seemed to have seniority. Staff were impressively nonchalant. Not rude, just operating at a level of indifference that suggests customer service is optional and enthusiasm sank years ago. Overall, it feels like a club coasting on location and nostalgia rather than quality. If you’re after a reminder of how things used to be (and not how they should be), this might be the place. Otherwise, you may want to keep sailing.

The Cruising Yacht Club of WA exceed our exportations for the wedding reception. I was a bit nervous about the food as I heard mixed reviews, but the food was outstanding. We had a buffet. All our guest at our wedding raved about how good the food was & some of our friends are chefs. I can’t wait to have many more events here. With all the fairy lights the place really goes come alive. The thing I didn’t like is we had to pay a fee to set up the day before in the space. Which I personally think it was a bit harsh to make someone pay that fee to set up the day before if the room is empty/ not being used. The staff who worked at our wedding reception where so friendly & lovely. We wanted to be friends with them all. Thanks for making our day so special.
