Mantra The Observatory Port Macquarie

We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so we hoped the accommodation would be lovely. It did not disappoint. The first thing we did on arrival was open a bottle of bubbly out on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful view of the beach while exchanging anniversary gifts. It was perfect! Great location - a short walk to the main street with lots of options for dinner. The cafe next door was also convenient for brekky and as we were staying at The Observatory we got a 5% discount too. The apartment was spacious and clean. We will stay there again next time we're in the beautiful Port area.

We had a one bedroom apartment on rhe 4th floor, which gave us a great ocean vuew and high enough to not hear much traffic.|Bed comfy, kitchen well equipped, shower good and balcony spacious. Walk across the road to Town Beach. Free undercover parking. 10 min walk into town, however some hills and busy roads to cross. Parking is a bit tricky in town for restuarants. Cafe downstairs for breakky n lunch. Indoor pool.good. Shared washing machine and dryer between 2 rooms.

Great location for views and beach. Ten minute walk to town. Didn’t use amenities much Wi-Fi was absolutely abysmal and would avoid personally if situation persisted. Raised with hotel to no avail. No booster kit offered.

Just the best stay! Across the road from the beach, but quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and spacious. The furniture was appropriate for a beach location, so no guilt about tromping into the room after a splash at the beach - and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Room servicing only happens every couple of days which meant it felt private and more homey. The staff were friendly, available when needed and very helpful. This hotel does not have a restaurant or licensed facility but there is a really good cafe below for breakfast and coffee. There was no shortage of good restaurants in walking or driving distance. We will certainly stay again.

We spent one night in room 807. It was spotless—very spacious, clean, and well organised. We arrived at 12:30 am due to a flight cancellation, and the reception staff were very efficient in arranging a late check-in and leaving everything ready for us so we could arrive and rest. I 100% recommend this place.

Great place to stay in Port Macquarie, the beach is across the road, there are two dining places on the ground floor. The Bowling Club is only five minute walk and the shops and restuarants are about five to ten minutes by car. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious, clean with a new 65" TV and new furniture and electrical appliances. There is also a swimming pool and free parking

We were travelling north to Brisbane and needed a quick overnight stay to rest and recharge. The Observatory offered a reasonable price, great location, and security across the board, including the underground, restricted access car park. We selected a simple one bedroom option, as our stay was purely shower, eat, sleep. We stayed on the 3rd floor and, to our surprise, opened the room door to find another two doors behind it. These provided access to room 1 (ours) and room 2 (our neighbours). This initially troubled me as it felt somewhat cramped/intrusive but, to be honest, once in our room we never heard a peep the entire time. We may as well have stayed beside an empty room, it was that quiet. The room was simple in design, basically a hallway with bathroom to the right and kitchenette/living area/balcony straight ahead. I would struggle to stay for an extended period (washing up in the bathroom sink was a little odd) but, for our one night stopover, it was more than adequate; a blasting shower, large comfortable bed, jug for a cuppa, great views and a balcony table at which we ate dinner (Little Shack - small servings but great quality). Lastly, I will say that the online booking process was very easy, and the lady that served me on-site was both pleasant and helpful. Overall, I would definitely stay at The Observatory again. If for a longer period, then I'd upgrade to a larger room. If short-term, then my recent selection would be all I'd need. Many thanks.
