Pavilion Dining - Pialligo Estate

it was a scary day when we went there as it was raining hard! But it was an amazing experience! The owner/manager was super nice to us, the chef was amazing and nice. the lamb we had was amazing! the most amazing one in canberra for sure!

Beautiful food and venue @pialligoestate . We tried a few of their popular dishes and enjoyed them all. On the menu: STARTERS: ⭐️Charcuterie board - the squid ink salami was yum ⭐️Prawn gnocchi ⭐️Stracciatella -soft Italian cheese MAINS: ⭐️Lamb shoulder- this was a huge portion, fall off the bone and just divine, enough for four of us ⭐️Scallop and squid ink risotto SIDES: The perfect accompaniment ⭐️Sweet potato- our favourite side ⭐️Spring salad- very refreshing and delicious ⭐️Cauliflower with a caesar dressing DESSERTS: ⭐️Pistachio pannacotta- this was so soft and creamy and delicious. I could eat 10 of these ⭐️Baked chocolate ganache with hazelnut crumb and crème fraîche Both desserts were delicious like everything else that we tried off the menu. Everything paired with some delicious wines 🍷, I’d say cheers to that 🥂 Highly recommend you to add it to your list of food adventures in Canberra if you haven’t already.

Had the express $49 per person lunch today and it was excellent value. The service was prompt and they were attentive Shared charcutie board to start which was nice then followed by a nice sized sirloin with a big side salad and chips. Definitely did not leave hungry, well woth the money

Our family had Christmas lunch here and while the food was not bad, unfortunately the extremely inexperienced and disorganised staff made the day very disappointing. It started with a 10min wait to be seated, followed by a 40min wait to get our first drinks and only after we intervened. This was followed by no change of plates or removal of dirty ones, when the food finally started arriving. The staff were confused , lacked direction and clearly had been given no training in how to correctly wait tables. The manager intervened a few times but he himself seemed to struggle with how to manage the staff. The other disappointment was it was a Christmas lunch yet there were absolutely no Christmas ambiance. No Christmas tree, no music, no bon bons, not even a sprig of holly decoration on the table. The day felt like a business transaction...the quickest and easiest way to make a profit , at our expense. Christmas lunch is meant to be an experience and this was not one I want to re-live.

Overcharged us for bottle of sparkling wine instead of a glass on our wedding anniversary lunch. Went back the next day with receipt for refund but manager not there. We were given the contact number for manager who promised refund. Now, one month later after several messages have still not received a refund and no response from latest message. Hugely disappointed by their conduct. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Sorry I had to put one star. $12000 wedding. Cold half cooked and very late food. Serving so small. Nuts served to two allergic people. No veg meal for stated vegetarian so they recycled the canopies that were 4 hrs old. One guess with her allergy stated had to Take her epi pen and go home. Be warned. If there is two out of three functions centres being used they can’t and don’t keep up.

This is a beautiful estate. We had the lunch set menu and the dishes were simple but sublime. The produce was fresh from the garden. The service was lovely and the setting is sophisticated yet relaxing. Great for vegetarians.
