Northcote Theatre is easily one of Melbourne’s best music venues. The sound and production they’ve installed are absolutely incredible — crystal clear, powerful, and perfectly balanced. You can tell they’ve invested properly in the experience. One of the best parts is how close you feel to the band. Even when it’s a packed show, it still feels intimate and personal, like you’re part of something special rather than just another face in the crowd. The VIP seating upstairs is a standout and not to be missed. It offers a fantastic view of the stage while still keeping that immersive, up-close feeling. Such a great way to experience a live show. Northcote. Absolute gem of a venue. ☝️
The Northcote Theatre is by far one of the coolest places for live music I’ve been to for a long time! The venue staff and security were very accommodating providing a welcoming vibe and ushering us to an accessible space right near the stage during a full house! They were kind and considerate making us feel special! Thanks for a great night

Darling old theatre...great atmosphere! Bar upstairs and down. Drinks are a bit pricey. Ripper little joint next door for pre-show bevvies/eats before doors open. Accessable by tram, stopping a short walk from the theatre in both directions. We saw Transvision Vamp with support act The Response! Ripper night!
What an amazing music venue. Came to watch RBCF (17/2/26). The venue is so well setup, the sound quality and effects are spot on. The whole experience was awesome
I saw The Original Wailers here last night and the show was absolutely epic. Truly iconic — the vibe, the crowd, the energy… everything was just incredible. I honestly don’t even have the words. As for the venue: super accessible bathrooms, easy bar access, and we were in General Admission but still had no issues at all. Water was easy to grab at the bar, the staff were chill, and the acoustics were surprisingly good. Overall, 10/10 experience. I’d happily come back for another show.
The Northcote Theatre is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of seeing some amazing performers live, and it was an unforgettable experience.
