The Acre Boomerang Hills

Attended a wedding at The Acre Boomerang Farm in Mudgeeraba. My first time there and it was very tranquil. The ceremony took place in one of the front lawns under the arbor, and right as the couple said their vows, two kookaburras joined in. Couldn’t have scripted it better! The venue oozes rustic charm, with its corrugated-iron "sheds" housing the bar, golf shop (yes, there’s a golf course with buggies), and the stunning 1902 restored reception barn. It’s a beautiful blend of heritage and atmosphere, perfect for weddings and gatherings. The food delivery was a standout. Guests self-served from large shared plates, with every dish from the menu: slow-cooked pork belly and Byron Bay haloumi starters to New England lamb, grilled whitefish and roasted chat potatoes, all generously served to each table. It was abundant, relaxed, and delicious. There’s plenty of parking. A magical setting - The Acre Boomerang Farm truly captures the best of the Gold Coast hinterland.

Incredible renovations makes this one of the best venues on the Gold Coast. We go there for golf, which is a beautiful 9 hole course, very cheap. The new kitchens and entertainment areas are fantastic. Also one of the e best downhill mountain bike single tracks and wedding / party venue. Amazing new big screen out the back, I hope this is used for sports events / Sunday sesh session as well as private events. Incredible transformation, congrats to all people behind the renovations.

The Acre Boomerang Farm is hands down the best wedding venue! I am so happy Aidan and I chose to get married here, from the moment we first had a look I knew it would be the perfect spot to tie the knot. Ellen was amazing throughout the whole planning process, answered every single question I sent her, and there were a lot! Jaz was our on the day event manager and coordinator, she was fantastic as well! The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and kept things on track, the birds were entertaining and the whole day and night were the best! If you are looking for a unique, fun, beautiful and unforgettable wedding location, go with The Acre Boomerang Farm. Thank you so much!

Honestly, I’m not even sure how to review The Acre because we didn’t even know they were there, in the best possible way. Everything we discussed just happened smoothly, without any stress or issues. Ellen made sure everything was well coordinated leading up to the day, and Jazz did a fantastic job on the day itself, making sure everything ran perfectly without us having to worry. We were a bit concerned when the venue management changed just a couple of months before the wedding, but now I can’t see how it could have been anything but a positive. The new team were professional and easy to work with, and made sure it didn’t impact the day at all. The food was incredible, and the venue and grounds were exactly what we wanted. Getting married on the rainforest deck was perfect, and the barn is beautiful too. We really couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate.

A gorgeous open air venue for your wedding ceremony, a room especially curated to get ready in and a rustic interior for your reception. It also has a resident kookaburra Keith who quite often makes an appearance. In short, it has everything!

We had our Wedding recently earlier in September and if you are thinking of this venue I can’t recommend the Acre Boomerang farm enough!! I had the lovely Ellen helping me throughout the whole planning process and she answered every random question I was throwing at her. On my Wedding day I was blessed with Ella, she made sure to check up on me throughout the day and overlooked everything making sure my guests also had a blast. The food, the atmosphere and the photo locations all absolutely stunning. Thankyou to all the AWSOME staff as-well, everyone was wonderful!!! We had our wedding yesterday at the Acre and it was the most beautiful wedding I could’ve ever dreamed off. The staff were next level amazing! Josh, Summer & Ella went above and beyond for us to make our day the most special day that we would remember for the rest of our lives. They always checked in on us making sure we were hydrated and feed. I honestly can’t get over how amazing the day was!
