Rivermill Dining Deck

What a stunning location. Great place to take the kids for a bite to eat and a pat of all the animals. A highlight for me was the turtles. There were so many turtles 🐢. The river is stunning. Would be a great place to relax. The dining deck is another absolutely stunning place to have a meal. Staff were lovely. Food in my opinion was on the average side but it was still worth the 1.15hr drive to check it out. There’s heaps of parking and just a good morning out. If I had grand kids I would definitely take them there.

Food is well presented, cooked to perfection, delicious and good value, that and a visit to the animals and the lake. Our grandchildren went on a horse ride each, then later at the riding show, my grandson got to take part in the show, riding and jumping with the aid of a very helpful friendly staff, they made it a really great day, Thank you Historic River mill you made our day. We went here 2–3 weeks ago and had a truly beautiful day. We booked a horse-riding training session, but there was a delay because of issues with the horse. They kindly offered us coffee while we waited, which was appreciated. The trainer was excellent—very patient, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe. We also got to feed goats and sheep, which was so fun: the animals were so friendly and curious. The surroundings were stunning: green fields, fresh air, and peaceful scenes everywhere. Overall, the place was amazing—exactly what we needed for a relaxing, memorable day.

Wanted somewhere different to take my elderly mum for lunch. Rivermill has lovely country side views. The only down side was that it was a very hot humid day with no breeze. Was hoping fans would suffice but the ones they have are really not strong enough. Food was nice. Service good but we didn't linger as my mum was getting too hot and unwell. Would come back when it's cooler with friends.

Lovely spot to bring the family. Lots to do and great food. The baby goats are super cute and the alpacas, chickens and sheep are so sweet. So many turtles in the river! My sister loved playing in the river. The jacarandas are in bloom and look lovely! Apparently they do weddings which I think would be beautiful. The children's birthday that was being hosted looked amazing with bubbles, balloon artists and they have a jumping castle at times! There is a Peruvian horse show at 11am. Such a beautiful and tame horse. They run trail rides and shorter led rides which would be perfect for beginners.

We visited Historic River Mill today with our 2-year-old daughter and, as always, it was pure magic! She had two pony rides on the absolutely gorgeous Oreo, and her little face lit up every time he gently carried her around—she was completely thrilled. Oreo is such a sweetheart! The setting is breathtaking, peaceful and perfect for little ones to explore and make memories. The animals are so well cared for, and every staff member we met was warm, patient, and happy to see the children having fun. This was far from our first visit, and we’ll keep coming back again and again. Thank you to the whole wonderful team at Historic River Mill—you make every trip feel extra special! 🐴

A must visit!!! This place has a great vibe. From the history of the mill with their museum, to the restaurant, to the stream and trees with all cute animals!! Epic service from John, Zoey and the team. Absolutely love this place and we will be back.
