Frankston Pier

I have fond memories of leisurely walks down this pier over many years, it's an excellent spot to take in some fresh air and clear your mind. I recommend visiting between 3-6pm as the afternoon sun is at its peak and the sunset comes to town.

The pier is good & solid, but I’m not comfortable with a pier with railings on one side only which this one has. Today the water was wild & murky and I couldn’t help thinking how it could have been if the wind had turned on us with someone blown off with railing not on both sides. I sometimes wonder how the fisherman will still go out on the pier when the water is wild., with a fisherman telling us that the wilder the weather, the better chance of catching a fish like the salmon he had just caught… hence my thinking of rails on both sides… but otherwise solid.

The beach is a beautiful and clean area, a place where you can go with your family and have a good time, the water is clean, it is an ideal place for swimming and it is also very close to the shops around

absolutely love this beach just needs better toilets and 24/7 ones would be so handy!

There are kids, families, couples and other people fishing, swimming and taking photos of wedding in Frankston Pier on a weekday. You can picnic on the land. There are a restaurant and an ice cream bar. Enjoy fish and chips, cool to cold winds, sunset and seagulls. Simply walking is relaxing. The parking space is limited and has to be paid.

Very attractive pier, ideal for strolling, fishing or just enjoying the chilled beachy vibe. The surrounding boardwalk and walking trails are tidy, modern and well maintained. Super pretty place with excellent views.
