Rippon Lea Estate

The estate itself was so so lovely! But my partner and I didn't realise you had to pay an additional tour guide fee on top of the entrance fee into the estate! It may have been our mistake to assume that the admission fee included entry into the mansion, but nevertheless, was still a lovely day! We loved exploring the gardens and it was definitely still a pleasant trip to relax and take a nice stroll around beautiful nature 🌷

Was there for a wedding last weekend, never been before, will go back to explore more. The old building looks fantastic, ground staff were great to work with for wedding. I recommend for others to have a look too.

Well presented Victorian mansion. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. The mansion's architecture and rooms are immaculate. Lovely walk around the ponds and waterfall and gardens with open lawn areas. Visited in November 2025.

Very well manicured gardens of this famous estate on several acres of blue chip land. Highly ornate engineered and designed home with lots intricate features which makes it much more grandeur than standard homes. Beautiful estate with stunning gardens and a well-preserved historic mansion. The guided tour was very informative, and the atmosphere is peaceful. A must-visit in Melbourne!

Just recently completed work experience here as part of my Diploma course..🏡 Wonderful old historical mansion full of history on expansive grounds jammed packed with beautiful gardens and lots of different plants everywhere..🏡🏵🪷🌺🌻🌼🪻🌴🌳🌲 Loved the fernery as I felt right at home in there with the air being 5° lower inside the fernery than outside the fernery..😃 🌿🌱🌿🌱 All around the grounds there were lots of areas where photo opportunities could be taken as well..📸 The wonderful gardening team were great passing on knowledge to me and answering all my questtions I had too..🏡 Will definately be back to wander around the grounds..🏡

Impressive place. Some interesting history. Highly recommend the mansion your. However you don't get to see all the rooms and no access to the tower. Nice place for a picnic. Cafe is very limited so byo food and drink.
