The Cut Golf Course

Played at The Cut last week, got the $60 per person with a shared cart. WOW, talk about value for money. One of the best courses in Australia. Tight fairways, great greens, brilliant use of the topography, can’t fault this course in any way.

Went for a 9-hole course. The first three holes were full of beautiful sea views—absolutely unique. To me, the other outstanding feature was the bunkers, they definitely were one of the hardest I’ve played, very challenging. My partner’s thoughts: the rough was rough (he lost two balls in one hole 😥). Overall good course, very nice. Good course, challenging, great views. Service was terrible at the pro shop. We booked the course online, but didn’t book the cart. Upon arrival, I checked in and politely asked if they had hand cart, the person said "no." I then asked if any cart then is available, and the response was "yes but I can’t give it to you as you didn’t book." I was surprised by the attitude of someone working at such a nice club. What’s wrong with just simply saying no cart is available? What’s the point of providing a response that made me sound like not booking the cart online was a huge mistake?

Beautiful and challenging coastal course that tests the golfers’ skill and course and management. Fairways are undulating slopes and greens are fast and undulating too. Both are in good condition. A few blind holes to watch out for. Scenic and windy second nine brings our golfing experience to a different level. Would love to return for another round.

2025: - One year later: we returned for our anniversary and, again, The Cut was great. The laid table was fabulous, staff friendly and helpful, and great food. Thank you all. 2024:The Cut hosted our wedding. We can't praise them highly enough. From beginning to end everyone was easy to deal with, professional and totally focused on helping make the day the best it could be. Thank you especially to Michelle and Dean. Right from the start we knew we'd made the right choice and on the day they were perfect. The food was excellent, the venue very picturesque and the attention to detail in set up was outstanding.

Played 18 at The Cut in classic wet conditions and fairways were slick but still a blast out there! ⛳️ Wrapped it up with a creamy Guinness and an absolute ripper feed after the round. Perfect way to warm up and finish the day. 🍻🌧️

Great layout and breathtaking views with some really interesting holes. Unfortunately the condition of the course (Feb 26) was not great, fairways very thin and burnt out and the greens were poor. Will definitely return given the overall quality, but maybe will leave it a good few months!

Attended the women’s Golf day with Gary and Harley, who were very approachable and friendly. I learnt so much as I was a complete beginner. They were so informative and helpful and ready to answer any questions. The ladies who attended were all lovely and made me feel welcome and I hope that they will become friends. I would thoroughly recommend it. A big thank you to Gary and Harley, hope to see you soon for more instruction.
