The Summit Cafe and Function Centre

Where do I start. There are no words to describe how thankful we are. My now wife and I chose the Summit for our wedding venue because it had been our regular place of "pilgrimage" for a long time. Little did we know we would also meet amazing people there. From first meeting to food degustation to emails, phone calls, meeting again, organising drop off and pick up, we got along so well with Andrew and Tony and the rest of the staff that they put us in a bit of a pickle: we wanted to invite them at our wedding too! The evening was amazing, the venue is stunning, the food absolutely delicious, the staff very experienced and so so helpful. All our guests went home with a full belly, satisfied and with a big smile on their face. Thank you again so so much to Andrew, Tony and all your amazing staff! Our wedding at The Summit was everything we hoped for. Andrew, Tony and the team were so great at helping us create the atmosphere we wanted and really made the whole experience stress free, and easy. The food was outstanding, staff so well accommodating, and made the set up/pack up a breeze. We even had had some of the local wildlife join us on our wedding day - giving us unique photos on our wedding day with a Koala, a family of Kangaroos and a bandicoot. We honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of our experience of having our wedding at the summit- it was better than I could have hoped for. 100% recommend.

23 December 2025. Visited today to view the Lofty Summit. Paid for the parking $5.27. Walked from the car park through to the monument. Well worth going for a 👀 sightseeing. You can do this easily yourself. My friend and I then had a table indoors and we both had the fish and chips. $25 each. Well presented and excellent value for money!! Outside of the restaurant/cafe are toilet facilities if you need. There is also a gift shop. We were there at least an hour. Loads of things to look at in the gift shop.

Nice place to visit, just a long drive if you come from the pier, I didn't have the chance to try the food but it seems good. Just a little pricy. Souvenir shop is not connected to the restaurant and do not expect wifi as they will note give it to you.

I loved this cafe. I didn't expect it to be so good: the food is housemade, not from a catering company. Proper food. All three of us found our food delicious. It's a good range, including options ranging from mainstream to healthy, and vegetarian/vegan and gluten free. The staff are great: attentive and polite. I'll go back there any time and with pleasure (I've planned my next visit already). It's a nice environment too: cool and comfortable after being outside in the bright sunshine while looking at the great view of Adelaide.

Enjoyed breakfast and coffee after the hike. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was probably the best I had in recent times. The staff were really friendly. Had an amazing time.

We enjoyed our coffee every Sunday after hiking. They have best coffee and cold press juice. Food also amazing but we not having them after hiking 😌Friendly staff and amazing service. 😊
