Saffire Freycinet

Having traveled as an adult for many decades in many countries and locations we found our visit to Safire Freycinet to be one of the all time favorite locations . The site is designed to be relaxing and beautiful and it succeeds. Every member of this highly professional team is knowledgeable and engaging. Well beyond the "have a nice stay" to meaningful conversations that were often followed up with unexpected extras. We happened to mention that our next stop was Hobart but we didn’t know yet where we were going to dine. That evening multiple pages of ideas and photos. The stars from our balcony were amazing at night and we got background on an app that would assist with that.||The experiences were beyond our expectations. From the country walk with Mick where we learned so much and got a deeper appreciation for his heritage. The oyster tasting while standing in the Great Oyster Bay with Becca was a memory we will hold dear. So many activities each unique and special in its own way. ||Dining was delicious and once again the service was impeccable throughout the day and shifts of waitstaff. ||The rooms are spacious and well designed. This was one location we did not want to leave. If you like, quality, attention and beautiful sights and experiences make sure and find your way to Saffire Freycinet.

Safire Tasmania is a beautiful property in a spectacular setting. The food was excellent, the curated experiences were thoughtfully designed, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. A truly memorable stay and a great way to experience Tasmania. Definitely will go back some day.

We stayed at Saffire for 3 nights. On the first day had a boat cruise which was awesome. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also did some biking and loved it. The whole experience. Also might have had some of the best views I have ever seen. Would recommend for everyone.

Stunning scenery and architecture, really amazing setting. Service is excellent and very precise, appreciate a lot the fact that the GM is always interacting with guests and making sure all is well. Restaurant is great, dining with a view of the Hazards is magic. Fantastic place and experience. Will be back.

Service is poor and just lip service, so the attitude is yes, but the reality is no - polite, agreeable, but operationally inflexible. Food is great, very good wine list, good rooms, great view - but also overpriced dramatically. Gym / spa almost nonexistent. Main attraction is the Tasmanian devils, held and fed in captivity, like in a zoo, the guide is knowledgeable. Other activities you can do are the walks / hikes, but you are essentially in the middle of nowhere, so amazing if you are looking for that (just doing nothing).

Unbelievable experience from start to finish. The drive to the property was gorgeous with a wonderful driver, the room was magnificent, not just the view but the room itself. The food is DIVINE, the service was impeccable and the complimentary experiences were a once in a lifetime type of special. The oyster farm, beekeeping, and wineglass bay lookout walk were all incredible with passionate and informative guides. This was the most relaxing part of our two week honeymoon so far. We felt so taken care of and lucky to be immersed in such a beautiful little slice of heaven on earth. We will really miss everything about this place and have vowed to come back one day.

Staying at Saffire Freycinet isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t have to think about a single thing. Every detail was taken care of with such care and thoughtfulness that we could completely unwind and just take it all in. The food was incredible, each meal beautifully crafted and full of local ingredients and flavor. The view of the Hazards from both the main lodge and our suite was breathtaking. The suites were huge and beds were extremely comfortable. It would have been easy to sit in the room all day to enjoy the view! Lucky we had all the experiences to look forward too. We enjoyed biking on the beach as well as the oyster farm. A special mention to Lecy, Lucy, Ally, Ashlee, Hamish, and Fraser for making our stay unforgettable, and to Marcus for creating a special beer pairing for my husband’s birthday, he absolutely loved it. Staying at Saffire is like seeing in colour, and now everything else feels like black and white. No other hotel can compare. Worth every single penny.
