Burnett Riverside Hotel
📍 Wedding venues in Bundaberg Central
Address in Bundaberg offers a compelling blend of convenience and comfort, standing out as a notable choice among the city's hotels. Situated within easy walking distance to town and local attractions such as Hinkler Central shops, its location is one of its strongest assets.
The hotel provides a range of well-presented rooms, although amenities can vary. The staff is generally accommodating, but there is room for improvement in communicating specific room features and handling special requests. The overall experience is enhanced by the easy navigation of their website and the availability of on-site dining and parking. However, there are opportunities for better management of booking confirmations and room allocations.

It's probably one of the best hotels in Bundaberg for the location and amenities they provide.
Booked river view king room which is advertised with spa. However on checking in no spa in room when asking reception staff regarding same - rudely advised NOT all riverside king rooms have spas. This was not communicated at anytime until asked. Website also doesn’t mention not all riverside king rooms have spa. Cups are too small. We reserved a separate room for family member and their room had no hot water for shower. Communicated same and was advised hotel fully booked. Emails to confirm bookings are extremely confusing. Communicated same on arrival and staff advised also agreed.
We had a 3 night stay in King City Room. Booked directly with Hotel via their website, which was easy to navigate. Our estimated arrival time blew out due to traffic issues, but a quick call to the hotel ensured alternative arrangements would be made. Surprisingly, Reception was still open and we were greeted warmly and check-in completed with ease. Our room was on the top floor. It was quite a large room which presented well. An elevator enabled easy access to the basement carpark and our room. A restaurant is attached. Whilst we didn't dine there, we did have a few wines. This hotel is in an ideal location. Very easy walk into town. I also walked to Hinkler Central shops and that was very manageable. Close proximity to River Cruz, Old Bundy Tavern, RSL. One suggestion for management would be to provide 2 teaspoons and 2 face washers for guests, as there was only one of each provided during our stay. Yes, I could have asked, but the nature of our visit was more compelling than a minor problem. Overall a very enjoyable stay was had. Would have no hesitation in returning here and would recommend you consider this Hotel in your travel plans.
We stayed here during the Australia day weekend 2026. Big pluses: the location right on the river is great, and also right in the centre of town. They have a secure underground garage which is great for motorcycle travellers. There's a bar/restaurant connected with decent food and a great view over the river. They were kind enough to let us leave our bags and one motorcycle while we did the distillery tour, and were always very helpful. All in all, a great place to stay.
Honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! 🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 Highly Recommend anyone travelling in the area! And if you are a keen crab-a, bring a pot! Spotted some locals pulling in a pot from the bank with several large bucks in the pot! 🦀 Brilliant. Plus RSL club just a walk down the road and a top feed
I was welcomed by Luke who had a sixth sense about guests. We chatted easily and my check-in was completed, after I had quite a few questions about the property, being new to me. I went to my room, and on opening the door, there was a very serene and relaxed feeling, no harshness. I met Ti / Tee, the housekeeper and had a great chat with her too. The room was large and had everything I needed in a very comfy way. I went to the H20 Bar for dinner and was greeted and briefed on the options. My table was on the verandah and the river flowing by was relaxing. My meal was Sweet Potato Gnochi and Brown Butter Poached Pear Tart. The service team there were spot on with attention and knowledge (looking back at the menu, very Gluten Free friendly), having a number of groups just arriving as I finished. I slept well knowing that my car was safely parked in the secure garage underneath. I checked out early (before 7am) using the easy key drop. My Bundaberg Stay was very made easy and comfortable by the team and facilities at the Burnett Riverside; I stay in branded/loyalty properties frequently, and this was not just a "Cookie-cutter" hotel. Thanks for the memories of Bundaberg. Quay Street has prominent Queensland Country style architecture.
Way overpriced, although I got it at a deal price for $257per night only me stayed one night, asked to stay another night at same rate but got quoted $316 !! For 1 person! This room didn't even have a microwave, although I asked the receptionist for one,she did bring one to my room,I was very grateful. No kitchen sink,no cooking facilities, tiny wonky rusty fridge with way overpriced mini bar.. I understand that alcohol is expensive but $5 for a kit-kat come on.....! Beautiful view very quiet, good air-conditioning and safe secure underground parking.
