We had our wedding at The Old Lyric and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the entire experience was next level amazing. Bec, was an absolute superstar. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the planning process feel effortless. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and exactly how we envisioned it – and then somehow made it even better. And the food... wow. Brenton, the chef, is a culinary genius. Our guests are still raving about the menu. Every single dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with passion and care. It was honestly some of the best food we’ve ever tasted. The venue itself is stunning, full of charm and character, and provided the perfect backdrop for the most special day of our lives. We can't thank Bec, Brenton, and the whole team enough. If you're considering The Old Lyric for your event – do it. You won’t regret it we are still buzzing and on a high.

For the second year in a row we held our annual Christmas party at The Old Lyric and once again Bec and the team were amazing hosts. From the food to the staff, everything was wonderful.

I recently had the pleasure of officiating a Ceremony at The Old Lyric, and it was an absolute delight. The venue is truly beautiful, and the perfect setting for a wedding. A special mention to Bec (owner of The Old Lyric), who is absolutely wonderful to work with - welcoming, organised and genuinely passionate about what she does. I can not recommend this gorgeous venue highly enough for couples looking for a memorable and intimate space for their big day.

Act One by Market Eating House pop up restaurant - Wow wow wow, exceptional setting, highest quality experience, food took us to Europe it was perfect. This is a must do experience.

Awesome venue for my 60th birthday yesterday. Everyone raved about the venue and the food!! The staff were delightful, everything planned to perfection, meals for the little ones, separate meal for people with allergies / dietary requirements, nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed my day.

I'm a marriage celebrant who recently did a wedding at The Old Lyric. This venue is incredible and unlike anything else in the South West. It has been restored and renovated to absolute perfection, retaining the character of this beautiful building, while adding modern conveniences. The space is versatile, the furniture is stunning and high quality, and the owners are lovely! Perfect for any occasion, and amazing for weddings!
