Customs House

This is a truly special place for me. The view of the Brisbane River from here is absolutely stunning. It’s also a great spot for lunch, where you can enjoy the atmosphere at a very reasonable price. Whenever I have important guests visiting, this is one of the places I like to take them 🙂 I highly recommend that you visit this place at least once.

A great venue managed by University of Queensland. Excellent space for medium to large size events. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was really good and they catered for dietary requirements. The AV team was also pretty good and on point with running a hybrid event. The only one comment is that accessibility could be better + there are toilets but they are fairly small.

The lamb shoulder and rib fillet has always been great here, but the tempura bug was also delicious. The portion of the lamb shoulder is enough to share with 3 very hungry people (and yes we do eat large portions normally). Isaac and Joe provided excellent service as well. Being a UQ alumni gives a decent discount to the final bill. Would always come back here!

We had a dinner there with the scholars from our conference at UQ. The environment is so elegant and stylish. Food was delicious though I expected more dishes 😂

A special anniversary dinner in a special place. My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Customs House, last night in Australia for us. We are Italian so very demanding when it comes to food and wine. We have been welcomed kindly by Joe who found us a table ( we had no reservation) and promptly took us some water. Then Marcel assisted us for all the dinner time with patience and professionalism. Amazing plates, tastes, very well served and presented. Classy and sober space, nice lights, cutlery. Very good wine selection. Both Joe and Marcel are high level professionals who deserve the best. They also gifted us with a surprise dessert for our anniversary, priceless. We hope we can be back and meet them again in future. All the best! Paola and Federico

Amazing view and decent dishes. Nice place for events

We had high tea in the Patina restaurant alongside the river. It had lovely views and a nice set up. The waiting staff were wonderful and attentive. But most importantly the food was amazing!
