We had such a great experience at Whitby Bendigo. We stayed the night at Quality lakeside and just came across the restaurant in the morning. We were so impressed by the lot really! Beautiful views, interior just bang on, amazing service and the FOOD! Such a gourmet breakfast for very reasonable prices. Coffee delish and freshly squeezed OJ was so refreshing. The venue could suit many occasions, even a nice wedding reception would be perfect here. We look forward to visiting again. Thanks guys x

Service was absolutely phenomenal. Top tier, 5 star service. The servers are very friendly, professional and polite, they are also quick and diligent. The food came out quickly, which was impressive considering how many diners there were (it was around lunchtime when we arrived). The scenery is beautiful, with the option to sit outside where you can view the water, wildlife and its natural elements. The venue itself was clean and well cared for, the chairs comfortable and the tables sturdy. The only slight downside would be its pricing, may seem a little steep for certain menu items and is definitely a little more expensive than other venues of the same department in the area, but I would imagine that is due to the level of service and the location. The food itself came out quickly but one of the meals was warm to the touch, the portion size is reasonable and the food itself was tasty and seasoned. Overall, a good experience but I think the pricing is a bit steep comparatively, hence the 4 stars.

Always such a delight stopping at Whitby for a feed and a cheeky mimosa (or six). Staff are incredible - attentive, warm and welcoming. Food leaves absolutely nothing to be desired - the flavours are artfully balanced, perfectly cooked every time, and just the right portion size to leave you satisfied but not too full for dessert. The deck is dog friendly, and they even have a K9 Menu so man’s best friend doesn’t have to go without. They can get busy quickly on weekends, so make sure you make a booking through the website, and leave a note on your booking if you need dog friendly seating! All of their drinks are incredible, and I do have to say, their mimosas are the best I’ve tried anywhere. And their Mojito’s? No words, just bring me another and keep them coming. 10/10 would recommend anyone passing through Bendigo to make this their priority stop, and then take a nice stroll around the lake or a trip on the talking tram to finish off the afternoon.

Awesome food. We enjoyed the Veg Full Breakfast and Fried harissa cauliflower. Filling but not too heavy. Very cool to hear them play drum n bass music. The outdoor deck has a great view of Lake Weeroona and is also pet friendly

This is one of the best experiences for breakfast we had in quite a while. We were amazed at the customer service and the delicious food served. 5 stars to the chef who made our meals !!! Must visit !!!!!

This venue is a true gem. The food is consistently beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the views are lovely. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, from the moment you walk in to the cheerful wave goodbye as you leave. The portion sizes are generous, and the meals are clearly made with care and attention to detail. On one visit, there was a small mistake with my order, and the staff couldn’t have been more apologetic. They quickly fixed it and even took the initiative to offer a complimentary coffee, which honestly wasn’t necessary, but such a thoughtful gesture. We keep coming back, not just for the food, but for the level of service that really stands out. Some say the prices are a little higher than other local spots, but you're paying for quality: attentive service, a beautiful venue, carefully prepared and large portioned food, and a relaxing ambience with lovely views. They also offer fantastic vegan and gluten-free options, hands down one of the best vegan breakfasts in town. It’s fast become our go-to café, and we recommend it to everyone we know.

We had a day trip to Bendigo and Whitby was our last stop. The fried squid dish was so delicious as well as the chips. The staffs here are amazingly helpful, friendly and handsome 🤭I would love to come back again in the future.
