Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve

This is a beautiful place for a picnic bbq/ cafe restaurant all overlooking the Swan River. Access by stairs to River or path at opposite ends lawn areas with tables and bench seating under a tree canopy . A children's pirate ship dominates the park which 2 generations of our children have enjoyed. Plenty of parking as well.

An excellent playground with so much for the kids to do complete with beautiful views, food and coffee and ice cream and toilets. This playground is in a perfect spot for a picnic. It is massive and has so many nooks and crannies to explore. A bit hectic on the weekend for an interstate traveller like myself but it was absolutely perfect on a weekday. I just wish the food at the adjacent cafe was a bit more family/budget friendly because the kids start hassling for ice cream straight away because it's so prominent and it can be hard to avoid meltdowns.

Have had alot of birthday parties attended at this very park. Its really good. The best part is the light stays on till midnight i believe so. We always had a great sitting and never had to rush back home as most parks don't have this facility..love it for this particular reason 😍

The children love this playground. Beautiful scene and lots to explore.

Park was great. Beautiful scenery overlooking swan river. Great place for picnic and family gathering. They have a playground for young children. Dog was prohibited though.

It's a great place for almost everyone of different ages and interests to visit or make good use of the whole place! For young children, they have the Pirate playground with different features for them to spend lots of time with. For those who like arts and crafts, there are events every now and then catering for them. There's a Bistro restaurant for adults alike, and also for wedding couples. For those who like to walk or cycle around, there are good cycling or walking paths around the reserve with magnificent views of Perth city's Skyline! Some mother's groups also make good use of the location.
