The Altar Electric

The Altar Electric is one of my favourite wedding venues in Melbourne! Not only does TAE offer something different aesthetically, with its Vegas-style charm and well-thought design, the team genuinely care about couples, vendors, and the entire experience. When photographing at TAE, Sarah performed ceremonies that were heart-felt, warm, relaxed, and truly personal. Weddings were coordinated perfectly, while guests were given an experience that, in my opinion, you can't get from many other wedding ceremony and reception venues in Melbourne. If you're looking to get married somewhere that offers something non-traditional, relaxed, and truly unique, look no further!

Altar team! Thank you so much for putting on the perfect Little more action for us and the exact wedding vibe that we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble & they were very patient with my many questions. A particular shoutout to Sarah who organised our ceremony and was incredible. I had many people ask if we knew Sarah because of the personal, heart felt ceremony she created for us, all from just a half an hour phone call! What a dream! Throughout our time in the chapel, Sarah and the team always made sure we were fed & watered and were so beautiful with our 5 year old son, which meant the most. The altar team are the best in the biz and take all the stress out of the day all the while providing such a fun space to celebrate in. Highly recommend 🙂

Thank you to the team at Altar Electric for making our special day as dreamy and seamless as possible! Our celebrant Anthony was so incredibly helpful, from our first phone call discussing the finer details, to painting the most beautiful, accurate portrait of our relationship during the ceremony. Our photographer James was an absolute wiz at capturing angles, directing poses and knowing when to give me (the bride) a champagne break! Our guests and us continue to sing your praises to this day. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

What can we say! What an amazing experience we had here at the alter electric. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. Everything was planned out but at the same time felt as cruisy as can be. No stress no worries and that’s what wanted! The team are so professional fun and creative and their words were catered to us to make our moment special at the alter. Decor was beautiful, and all the guests had a rippa time. We want to go back in time and relive it all again thanks to these guys! Highly recommend having your wedding here, you won’t regret it.

The absolute best place to get married. We would do it all over again tomorrow, it was fun, vibrant and beautiful. Our guests loved it! They personalised the day for us, and were cool, calm and collected. This place! I cannot recommend it enough.

This review is 2.5 years overdue, but it’s been on my to do list all this time and we’re still in love (thank goodness) - so it’s time!! Our wedding at The Altar Electric was an absolute ripper. It dates back to Covid times and unfortunately we’d had a few casualties, just days before the wedding. The team were so understanding, allowing us to postpone without hesitation. By the time the second attempt came around, I was concealing a 9 week pregnancy. Anthony and Dee made sure I was fed and watered the entire time, even going the extra mile to source non-alcoholic spirits for me. The personalised vows by Anthony were such a highlight and we loved having Mrs. White photograph the big day. She made us feel so comfortable. I wish I’d written this sooner, but I see it as a testament to a long lasting love, strengthened by a fabulous wedding and experience at TAE 💕💒 The Naughtons xx
