3.2

Ferguson Plarre's Bakehouse - Northcote offers a mix of experiences, with some customers praising the quality of their baked goods and coffee. The service can be charming, and the coffee is often highlighted as a strong point, with a good, dark, and strong flavor at a decent price. However, there are reports of inconsistency in service quality and product freshness, which can detract from the overall experience.

The atmosphere is typical of a shopping center, with some noise issues, but the staff can be friendly and efficient. Found this cake on the bench in my office, asked around and it was the leftovers of a 1st birthday cake purchased from your store. I ate it (4 days old) and it certainly satisfied my sugar craving. Can confirm - 5 stars.

5* coffee which I enjoyed hot and fresh at a table rather than takeaway. Nice staff, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere can only go so far in a shopping centre but not helped by the noise of chair legs on tiles.

This was decent, and especially handy on a Sunday. Not sure if it's changed hands but two recent visits have been awful. One I ordered and sat down to get a scorching hot coffee that was 10% milk and a barely warm pie. Some guy there has an attitide. Today I went to order a pie and a pastie with a coffee and the counter woman was so rude (no attitude guy thankfully) and we just walked-off when she blanly stared at us. The pies looked old too so probably a good thing! I got a surprisingly nice coffee from the donut shop and a cake from Bakers Delight.

Pretty good I’d have to say. My coffee was lovely - good, dark and strong -and a decent price too. The service was charming as well. The only downer is the plaza location in the aisleway. But, that’s life.

I was previously a customer at Northland Ferguson Plarre and since their closure I have now had to go to Northcote Ferguson Plarre. I am in disbelief as to how this young male has been allowed to run this store. Firstly, the range is limited, there are barely any options and the cabinets look naked and overrun with biscuits. Secondly, the quality of the food is a shame to Ferguson Plarre as I have eaten at both Northland and the South Morang Drive Through before and never have I had the experience with dry and tasteless products, they taste like they have been sitting there for weeks. Thirdly, I have tried out this store numerous times and the male who runs this store is continuously standing around looking busy while everyone else runs around. I have been standing at the cabinet waiting to be served multiple times while the staff run around and he will continue to just stand there on his laptop. I have also witnessed him swearing and raising his voice towards both customers and staff, it is disgraceful. I have given this store too many chances, I will now be sticking with South Morang as Elise and the staff are great there.

I usually bake my own sausage rolls. Haven’t had the time to make them so l purchased 2 of their classics. I noticed the vast difference in the shrinkage and the once again increased inflation! I don’t think 14$ warrants the price of a bit pastry and sausage meat. I will def stick to making my own very simple and delicious rolls. At just under 30$ l can generally create up to 24 at the same size 7$ a roll is ridiculously expensive

Bought a gorgeous choc mousse cake for mum's birthday which was well priced and I proceeded to transform it into a dinosaur scene at the request of my nephew. Turned out great!
