Beautiful Banh Mi Roast Pork Vietnamese style rolls. Very well filled rolls with fillings. And great customer service, very nice people and clean store! (As per picture i do not have cucumber or coriander in mine).
I have been going to Lai for over 5 years now and I can confirm that the Banh Mi (roast poke with chilli and coriander) has always been my go to. A few years ago fresh juices were added and the pairing it with a Banh Mi hits the spot. This just feels like a family run neighborhood shop and has the friendliness to match.
Come here regularly for ban mi. The food is good, price is good. Personally I like here better over nearby places. It gets served quick. Staff is friendly.
Great banh mi! We loved the banh mi - crusty roll filled with crispy roast pork, salad and chilli! Friendly service and unbeatable value at $7.50!

I have found with Asian restaurants that you cannot judge the food and service by the look of the joint…..well with this place you can. The store is a dump, service wasn’t good. Ordered Iced coffee and steak and mushroom pie were perfectly fine. The two crispy pork banh mi were foul tho 🤢 Bread was stale and chewy, the pork tasted and felt like fish, barely any veges on the inside, was so empty. We threw both banh mi in the bin and didn’t even finish :/ Would not recommend or go back 🙅🏼♀️🚫
Nice little bakery just opposite Woolworths in the Moonee Ponds Shopping Precinct. Plenty of free parking available. Food is fresh, well cooked and a fair selection of breads, pies and pastries and great Bahn Mi Vietnamese roast pork rolls. Reasonably priced and great for a quick bite.
