If you love classic Asian-style cakes, this place is a gem! 🧁 So many flavors to choose from — light, fluffy, and not too sweet. Their almond crisps and Swiss rolls are my top picks! Always fresh and delicious. #genastar

🇨🇴🍞 Small Bakery, Big Flavour & Heart ☕💛 Although it’s a small place, this bakery delivers amazing flavour every time. I’ve visited before to grab bread for breakfast — which, coming from Colombia, is a must for me! This time, I just stopped by to pick up a piece of bread to enjoy with my coffee, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. Their products are full of quality and care, and it really shows in the taste. I enjoy visiting this place — the team is kind, and their dedication shines through everything they make. A true little gem in the area!

Ordered the Walnut cake from Maxima’s, and it hit just the right notes. The sponge was moist and tender, with a delightful nutty crunch from the walnuts throughout. It wasn’t too sweet and the flavour of the walnuts shine without being overpowered by sugar. The frosting was smooth, rich, and creamy, pairing nicely with the texture of the cake. Presentation was lovely.

Very traditional flavours, ordered a Taro pastry and it was filled with a lot of Taro paste. Recommend. Next time will definitely try the Swiss rolls. Also a big selection of cakes.

The egg tarts were room temperature rather than warm. They were alright. $3.90 each.

Maxims Cakes Review on 25/7/2023 Despite being small, the shop is sells a good variety of Asian style cakes. The presentation looks good. My wife bought two and other pastries. I love flaky egg tart, but was very disappointed that the egg tart case was like the Portuguese egg tart, but the filling is Chinese style.

Bought mango and chestnut cakes for my friend's birthday. Everyone loves them. The sponge cakes inside are fluffy. There are loads of Mango for the mango cake and it's so refreshing. Chestnut cake tastes unique. I've been buying their Swiss roll for years. It's always my favourite. Their egg tarts are to die for.
