A nice place to stop for a coffee or pastry. I was surprised to see a previous reviewer moaning about the high prices, so I assume they are a time traveller from the 1970's, as I found this place to be very reasonable, especially the quality of their products. Well worth a visit if your ever in North Hobart.

First timer today. Got a beef and bacon pie.. usually that’s with cheese too? Anyways, pulled it out of the box and it had a wet and soggy underside. No structural integrity.. just fell apart. The beef was tough and it was just after 10.30am. Entering the shop is like going in a nook, had to side step like a crab. Food price around the $7.50 mark, but needs major work

Some of the best serving sizes I've seen at a bakery/cafe. So worth the price and conveniently positioned right on the strip of Elisabeth St. The staff are amazing and make every effort to remember my order when I pop in.

I haven't been to Zum for quite a few years and was looking forward to a crisp flakey croissant and a wobbly custard tart with great coffee. The coffee was great, the custard tart looked good, but was filled with a tasteless yellow mush, not the traditional wobbly custard and the croissant looked like a croissant, but was a salty bread like consistency, not a flakey pastry! I couldn't finish eating either. Zum, you are making food that looks right, but is not traditionally made...

Great friendly service. Pies are first class chicken curry excellent.
