I've been bringing the family here for years. These cannolis simply are the BEST! I love the texture of their ricotta! Very traditional. Very rustic. I broke with tradition today & enjoyed a chocolate eclair alongside my coffee. Delish!

Stopped at Cavallaro & Sons yesterday which is an Italian iconic Pasticceria located in the heart of Footscray. I had not been there for years however as I had to meet an old work colleague in Footscray, I suggested we go and we were not disappointed. When you enter the shop its like stepping back in time to a late 1960's/70's Italian pasticceria store....We both had their signature ricotta cream cheese cannoli and a coffee which were both perfect. Its fantastic this business is still operating in Footscray after so many years which has seen a massive immigrant demographic shift over the years with the influx of the Vietnamese community. Highly recommended and we will be back..!

T. Cavallaro & Sons have been perfecting authentic Sicilian cannolis since 1956, and it truly shows. Handcrafted from scratch with shells made fresh in the kitchen every day, their cannolis are crisp, light, and filled with the most flavourful vanilla, chocolate, and ricotta creams. I’ve tried cannolis all over Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane – and even in Italy – and these are the absolute best. On top of the incredible quality, the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. A true Melbourne icon and an absolute must-visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ T Cavallaro & Sons Pasticceria Everything here is great — pastries, cakes, and the whole old-school Italian pasticceria vibe. Quality is consistently high and it’s a place you can rely on. Even the cannoli are excellent… easily the second best I’ve ever had (mine are still number one 😉). Jokes aside, this is a top-tier bakery and well worth a visit if you appreciate proper Italian sweets.

Just a shop right across from the Footscray market. This place has everything: great service and some of the best cannoli in Melbourne. We got 4 of the ricotta and chocolate ones, and let me tell you, every bite just kept getting better!

This legendary store in footscray has to be my favorite. I regularly visit the joint for coffee and cannolis. From the cannolis my personal fav has to be the one with the ricotta filling which is super subtle and not too sweet. I also really like the short breads and the nappolis they serve here. The staff are friendly and courteous. This place is definitely worth visiting if you are around footscray. Also its a great place to pick up some fresh cannolis for gifting.

Purchased a Continental cake for my dads birthday and was very disappointed. The custard (I am assuming it was supposed to be vanilla) resembled silicone. The custard came out in one full piece - like jelly. It tasted awful. The chocolate was fine. The sponge was dry and crumbly. And not sure why the cake was so high - it was three layers of custard, 1 chocolate, and 2 vanilla?? Wish l had read the previous review that highlighted a similar issue with these cakes. Would not recommend - look for an alternative if you want an authentic Continental cake.
