Carindale Bakery

First time popping in today, was very impressed. The service was friendly and prompt. The pies were phenomenal. Very large filling pies, gravy was the most note worthy feature, was the most rich and flavorful gravy I had in a pie.

My friend took me to try the "Best Pies Eva". I walked into a bakery paradise, with all the Australian bakery classics beautifully made. If I wasn't there to buy Pies, I would have chosen the insanely massive sandwiches on display. Bursting (literally) with yummy meat and salads. For only $7.50. Incredible. He gave me a steak and mushroom pie. No joke, this pie, it weighed the same as my handbag. I took a sneak peak and inside, real whole mushrooms and chunks of steak. I smothered it with sauce (the only way for me) and opened my mouth really wide. I kept that motion until the pie was gone. Yes, it ticked all the boxes, fresh mushrooms, melt in your mouth steak, and handmade pastry. The staff were personable with bright, smiley faces. Yes, it was worth the hour drive for sure.

This bakery was one of the best in Brisbane. Today I bought 2 pasties that were at least one or two days old. One vanilla slice that was also hard and quite stale. If they want to charge a premium price they should sell that day's bake not previous day baking. Hard to believe this bakery has decided to treat their customers this way. It won't take long until you loose a lot of your loyal customers.

Came here after reading recommendations for the pies. We tried steak and cheese and steak and kidney. The pie filling was good with lovely chunky bits of steak and kidney. The pastry was ok but not stand out. Sadly, the sausage rolls were a disappointment with an odd mushy filling that did not taste meaty. We also tried gingerbread man cookies that were dry and doughy. The service was very friendly though.

They have really nice pies here but the cake was a bit dry. The steak pie was good. Highly recommend going to have a look and try their pies ☺️☺️.

Don’t understand the negative reviews, had a steak and bacon pie and it was the best I’ve had in a long while. Real chunks of meat, real gravy (not packet rubbish like other shops) and big rashes of real bacon. Caramel slice goes good too. My work mate had an egg sanga and it was massive

Bought a steak, tomato and onion pie from there and the lid of the pastry was raw, while the filling of the pie was all tomato. For $6.20 a pie, absolute waste of money and would not recommend buying from there
