Old McLeod’s Bakery

Food was great, I had mushroom pie, hot and lovely, son had bacon and cheese. Stuffed up on wife’s order, but shop was extremely busy and the lady that served us may have been new. A steady stream of locals came in the entire time we sat and ate our pies. That shows how good the Tucker is. Well recommended.

If you barely visiting broken hill you should definitely try the pasties🤤🤤🤤 at mcleods bakery pies are great fresh sandwiches and a delicious range of cake/slices🍰🎂🍩 oh can't forget Fridays hotdogs🌭🌭🌭🌭 😋 😋 😋

Had a potato pie and it was absolutely delicious. Best bakery in town. Will definitely be going back. Keep up the good work.

My hubby and I had food yesterday. We arrived about 30min before closing. Best pie and pasties i have had in ages. Shame i live in Melbourne. Saw that the owner is selling. Not often you can get a fantastic feed from a bakery these days

Loved the vanilla slice and Bruce showed us around the history of the place. After showing me the espresso machine, I got a latte as well.

Tucked away in Broken Hill but more than worth finding. Great pies, lovely cakes 🍰. About the best value pies I’ve seen. They believe in attractive pricing. Customers coming back makes that a clever decision. Highly recommended.

McLeod's is a very traditional old-style bakery - it feels very comfortable to be there. The bakery building is not situated in the main shopping area so it is not part of the tourist drag. The owner was easy to talk with and we exchanged quite a few stories. I enjoy more unusual foods so it was great to find a steak and kidney pie that tasted good like it should. Unfortunately I believe the owner is intending to retire in the not to far future - the future of the bakery yet to be decided.
