This place is an awesome package. The food, the staff and the setting all add up to a glorious experience. I plumbed for the Sunday Roast with dessert and it was an absolute treat. The meat (chicken) was plentiful and tender, the vegetables WEREN'T cooked to death, the Yorkshire Pudding was crunchy and the gravy was tasty and runny. Gorgeous! My Sticky Date pudding hit the spot too, and was very moreish due to its flavours and texture. So spongy. The staff on my visit were very friendly and efficient. Table service was top-tier and my group and I were never left wondering about our order. Even though it was a busy, busy place our food and drinks were in front of us in good time. The venue itself is well worth a visit. It has a gorgeous rustic feel to it that oozes good vibes as soon as you enter the place. It's one of those places that has decor tucked away in every nook and cranny. So go dine here and experience one of Ballarat's many awesome eateries.
Aunty Jacks has such a great vibe…warm, welcoming and full of character. I loved the décor and the friendly service added to the experience. The food was excellent, with a hearty pub-style menu and plenty of drink options. We ordered two mains and an entrée for three people, but the entrée arrived on its own rather than with the mains. It would have been nice if the staff had checked our preference, but that’s a small detail in an otherwise great dining experience. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Ballarat.
Somebody invested big on this place. And it has paid dividends where Aunty Jacks could easily be a pub straight out of London or Dublin. Good vibe and service all around. My beef burger was tasty and the fish and chips were crisp and delightful. It was the sticky date pudding that was a bit of let down, a bit watery in its sauce and had a chemically taste to it. Nevertheless, a nice place for our pit stop lunch in Ballarat.
Crab and Prawn pasta is great! I loved it. The spicy margarita made it better. So spicy!🌶️ and I had the best service from Connor. So accomodating and offered options. Loved that! Love the ambience aswell..
We had an amazing time at Aunty Jacks. Dan gave us a tour of the venue. He shared his knowledge of Matt Ives brewing process and his passion for beer. We then proceeded to select the beers for our tasting paddles. With our beers we had a charcuterie plate. The sour dough was made from the byproducts of the brewing process and complimented the beer perfectly. Surprise bonus - Dan gifted us with a loaf of sour dough. I would highly recommend Aunty Jacks.
4th time I have attended the Free Flowing Pizza and Cocktails, and it won't be my last. These afternoons are absolutely fantastic. Drinks are amazing, food is delicious and the staff are wonderful and so very friendly. I recommend Aunty Jack's to anyone who will listen. I always buy a bottle of their Strawberry Gin too. It's absolutely devine. Can't wait to go again.
Kelly organised our whole event! She was a dream to deal with and be around. The staff on the night of the party were very accommodating and nice to be around. Everyone of them went above and beyond to make us feel loved and right at home! Aunty Jacks was a great venue to have a 40th. Next was the food- the food was lovely and with a huge range of event food to choose from you won’t be disappointed! Honestly this is your place. It was very relaxed and because everything was taken care of we could enjoy each others great company!
