Andrew and the team were amazing. Had 6 months to organise and outdoor wedding, and no matter how many times we tweaked and changed our order it was never an issue. Seamless communication, set up was done the day before the wedding, and pack down the day after, all smooth. Highly recommend, 10/10.

I can’t quite put into words how amazing our experience with Having a Party was. I got married on Saturday, 7th of February, and we engaged Andrew and his team about a year in advance. From the very beginning, Andrew was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He presented us with all the options we needed to bring our dream wedding to life, carefully measured the space, and even attended the venue twice prior to the big day to ensure everything was absolutely perfect. Without Andrew, our vision simply wouldn’t have come together the way it did. We are so grateful for his patience in handling all of our questions and the many ideas we came up with along the way. On the day itself, Andrew and his team arrived on time and were ready to go early in the morning, ensuring everything ran smoothly and we met our timeline. Every single guest was stunned by how beautifully everything was set up. Andrew did an incredible job of transforming the space into the fairytale setting we had always imagined. We couldn’t recommend him and his team more highly.

We first used Having a Party for marquee/dance floor hire 10years ago. We have used them again in Nov '21 for a Marquee x 2/dance floor/walkway/bar tables and stools and Dec '21 for a marquee/tables and chairs. Excellent service with quality products. The marquee's looked beautiful and transformed the atmosphere of the backyard and all our events have been a huge success. We recently used Having a Party for our daughters engagement party. We requested what we needed, the quote came back really fast, was very competitive and we were not disappointed. They erected the marquee the day before our event, the glasses and bar tables we ordered were in very good condition and they were back on the Monday to dismantle. WE would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew and his team for your next event.

I was about pulling my hair out trying to find a hire company with the right mix of what we were after for our wedding, and I eventually stumbled upon Having A Party. So glad I did! Great pricing, quick and easy to deal with, and were totally cool about fitting around the bump in/bump out rules for our venue. Really great service all around.

We hired a local place and right from the start things were less than ideal. Prices seemed high but what do I really know. Then there were "Damage Waivers" only 7% not 15% like other places charge. Delivery and pickup were each $70 - a few tables and chairs and a bar. We are now looking at $650. Delivery time was "Friday"! Not a rough time, morning? Afternoon? Then the bar comes, for somewhere to serve drinks. "Oh you need to be very careful because the chipboard might swell up and then you be up for replacement costs." Who has a wet bar that is allergic to water? Also the light up center no longer lit up. Apparently it hadn't for quite some time. No doubt that's why it only cost $180 to hire. It was a long weekend so they couldn't pick up until Tuesday. Once again no time could be obtained. As it turned out it was now Wednesday pickup - absolutely no notification to us. The pickup guy then tells us "I'm sure Fred said Wednesday." 100% we asked and were told Tuesday. He then presented us with a document (that we should have been given on Friday) that shows Wednesday pickup, highlighted no less. All in all shifty and making us look like it was our fault. Would never use them again. Very unprofessional and not a good way for anyone to have a fun party.
